I use the auto cannon and I’ve lit into one like no tomorrow and still didn’t put it down

You have to use the Recoiless Rifle, Expendable Anti Tank or the Spear to take down the drop ships. You also have to aim for one of the four engines on the ship, or else your shots will do nothing. I believe the Auto cannon is too weak to take down the ships.
