So the guy was driving drunk on a suspended license with a meth pipe and weed on him, erratically drove at a stoplight, obstructed traffic, and proceeded to engage in road rage by getting out of the car and threatening the car behind him with the potential of a gun twice (for no discernible reason). Then he decided to call the cops because the target pointed a gun at him after these threats and gets mad because he's the one who gets in trouble? Kevin is an appropriate name. Then to go further with threatening an officer? And he thinks a lawyer is going to be able to help him? Some people..

Not to mention, what are the pros and cons if they continue asking questions after he requests a lawyer? The evidence isn't admitted in his trial. That's it. Also, they're still allowed to question him about other stuff, like his identity info (they aren't forced to stop asking him *any* questions). I see a rise in people complaining they weren't read their rights before/after getting arrested, as if that means something, like the charges will get thrown out 🤦‍♂. They watch too much TV. Rude people don’t realize that they’re making their own life difficult. When you’re polite, you slide through the cracks of life. Being rude puts all eyes on you and your mistakes and people wait for you to fail. Being inherently rude has never benefited anyone. That’s why it’s so bizarre when you meet rude people. In order to be rude, you kind of have to be a little stupid. 99% of the time rude people are actually dumb, and just don’t see anything about life correctly. It’s almost a mental issue. Sadly.

Boze asked a good question. “If he says he’s drunk, do they have to test him?” If you’re a smart cop it’ll be 100% yes. You have to have as much evidence that their drunk and motor skills are poor because of their drinking. It reminds me of how girls will be upset that always get pregnancy tested at the er. You can say you’ve never had sex in your life. If they’re smart they’ll test you anyways. Not because they doubt you. Just legally speaking, they need proof you’re not. So the can give you any medications, scans, blah blah. Without harming a baby and then being sued. There’s alot of things in this world that may sound dumb. But it’s because dumb people take advantage of systems. So we have to treat everyone dumb.

I've been to the er a lot, and they've never once tested me for pregnancy. They ask "is there any chance you're pregnant?" I awkwardly say no. They ask if I've been sexually active. @@ominouslightning most ERs will do a pregnancy test because they don’t want to be liable. That’s why I say it’s not hard feelings If a doctor/nurse has you do a pregnancy test before giving you certain medications/treatment . But yes some states don’t have to worry about that kinda liability. Or the reason you went to ER, didn’t need a pregnancy test because the treatment would’ve been fine pregnant or not. Of course I may be wrong, because I don’t know your situation (I hope you’re doing good) But it’s fairly common for women to deal with. Which is of course annoying for them but the er can’t risk it lol. But I’m glad you don’t have to deal with it
@ominouslightning
@ominouslightning Жыл бұрын
@@layladavis02 I mean, I was talking about times when I needed x-rays in the er. So they would need to know if I was pregnant for sure. But they just ask if it's possible that I'm pregnant and then follow up with whether or not I'm sexually active, and that's it. I guess I don't know the laws around hospital liability, but I can't imagine living somewhere where a hospital can be held liable because a patient lied to them. That seems really weird to me. Then again, there's plenty of laws that don't make sense to me lmao, so it's whatever.

@@ominouslightning no I definitely get it😂 I guess just imagine a woman comes in. Says she not sexually active and no chances of being pregnant. So they take her word for it. Give her whatever treatment it may be. And it causing a miscarriage, or complications for child/child birth. All those scenarios. Which are indeed terrible. But can be avoided by test. I mean yeah it’s very dumb thinking it’s the hospitals fault. But the case is they’re a medical professional and should know to test before treating lol. But I dunno why I’m explaining this. As long as your honest with the Dr, if they take your word then that’s great ofc makes things a lot more simple.

The worst part about technological advancement is the stall that follows after it. The way we advanced so much in the 1900’s and now in the 2000’s the pace of advancement and life has become stalled. I wonder why. Perhaps advancement comes in waves as opposed to continual progression. Perhaps we have enough technology for now and are just waiting for something new to create. The sad thing is we don’t really need to create any more technologies. We need to change ourselves, not create more convenience.

Meth dude definitely is in the wrong, but the fact that the cops immediately started speculating that the off duty cop was justified and pulled the gun declaring he was a cop (not what happened and seemingly not what the off duty cop said) is deeply concerning to me, because they didnt actually know all the details and immediately just made up a situation where the cop did nothing wrong and assumed thats what happened is problematic
@Oliviaandtrina
@Oliviaandtrina Жыл бұрын
For real. They instantly took the off duty officers side, before even hearing what either of them said. They immediately assumed the other guy was in the wrong, and didn't even consider for a moment that the officer could have been in the wrong.

I think they took the off duty officers side cause that guy not only followed him to the police station but he got out of his truck fast, his body language was already displaying aggravation. Cops learn to take preemptive measures based on body language, and I am guessing when he nearly leaped out and threw his hands up they sensed something was off- which he promptly confirmed with the meth pipe and alcohol And I am exaggerating him getting out of the vehicle fyi he was more jerky and sure footed but still very quick about it. You learn in an early age- or should at least, that you don't exit the vehicle when a cop has initiated a stop as well, have the window down to a respectable length to exchange information, and keep your hands on the wheel after to show you are unarmed and not a threat.
@cubbisoriano8121
@cubbisoriano8121 Жыл бұрын
This sort of reaction is actually extremely common. Cops cover cop behavior- regardless if its legal/ morally good, or not. They wouldnt assume their own men did something bad, because of their own previous biases of themselves. Its like. Most parents wouldnt assume their own child did something wrong automatically, if they get a call from the principle, you know? Especially if theyve spent years with their child having good (or unreported) behavior. Its "out of character", and so the fault must obviously lie to the accuser.

He stopped in front of him in traffic, got out and approached the officers car angrily, in traffic, concealing his hand behind himself as if he had a weapon in his waistband. There's a 33% chance I would just mag dump in that situation. He's lucky he just had it pointed at him. You don't approach a vehicle in anger, concealing an arm. Let alone after intentially restricting their movement. This guy was asking for problems.

@@noname-gh1vr Well I think African history is unique because 1. I don’t come from it. I am mixed with a lot of Euro races and they’re all considered different races but a lot of them are very similar to eachother and being very Christian influenced cultures. But when I learn about a lot of African cultures, they have much more free culture as opposed to the European Christian influenced my heritage comes from. African cultures have their own types of Magick, Art, Music, Cuisine, Dancing, Legends, Fashion Jewelry, Hair styles, So much knowledge in hunting and farming. Also African cultures are very ancient and go back even before “Africa”. So I just feel like there’s so much energy and information in African culture, compared to my own European culture I come from, is rather predictable and not spiritual or warm at all.
