The more I listen to Palestinians and pro Palestinian sympathisers, see their behaviour during media interviews and protest marches, the more I am convinced that it is impossible to separate the Palestinian people from Hamas. I am concerned that even if Hamas was removed they would quickly be replaced by another with the same ideology. I really want to believe in an innocent Palestinian population (children are always the innocent victims in any war), but when your national identity is so entrenched in propagating a victim narrative as though you are without agency, with a refusal to acknowledge facts and your part in the conflict, I am left believing that the notion of a two State solution to the conflict is a lie. The history of repeated offers, including an offer which met 90% of Palestinian demands being rejected by the Palestinians, evidences there is no investment in living peacefully alongside a Jewish neighbour.

Example: Palestinian child is caught being "suspicious" and having a knife, be it for carving or not, or maybe a fork, or maybe they got a bit curious, they get put into custody, custody can be extended at all time without evidence, over ?81% of ?all Palestinian children inside ? detainment don't get access to a lawyer, Palestinian children get 8 days before appearing before military court, a 7 yr old kid will appear to military court without legal representation or counsel . example a Palestinian child gets too near a soldier and he may get killed, there is no large chance that it will be fully investigated, as in if he was actually attempting to do harm and if the soldier just thought that or just didn't like Palestinians And a Palestinian child can get berated for celebrating religious festivities, wether jewish or non jewish ones since Jewish Palestinians exist, and Palestinians at times intermarry religiously. So, Palestinians don't believe the ink in the paper will work, they tried the international courts, but US who has acted as mediator til now is being biased so they think they will get no peaceful help or so I gather from watching one to many videos by Ask Project, and multi sourced media, multi national media, multi sided media. I want to make this very clear!! I have supported Julie Brewer and agreed with everything she say for years!!! I have watched her faithfully . BUT THIS IS INCREDIBLE. Julie Hartley Brewer is a disgrace to Humanity. I watched her in an interview with a Lawyer representing Israel. Brewer might as well have got on her knees and licked the anus of that lawyer. Brewer says Israel has a right to take revenge! Revenge is the reason Hamas did those atrocities. Did you know that Israel funded and supported Hamas many years ago, because at that time the Palestinian representations were gaining respectability and traction, so Israel decided to throw a spanner in the works and help a terrorist organization take control so that the West would not look upon Palestine favorably. Hamas is not in the West Bank precisely BECAUSE of the occupation. It's a rational decision by Israel based on security concerns, not imperialistic or colonial motivations. I'm no fan of the Israeli government, the quasi fascist elements in Israel, the expansion of settlements of the humiliation of Palestinians but there will be no end to the conflict until all parties accept that Israel is a legitimate state. Hamas won't accept that so Hamas has to go as a prerequiste of peace. That alone may not be enough because there are other bad actors involved - including bad actors on the Israeli side - but it is a necessary step towards peace even if it isn't a sufficient one.

The impact and the "humiliation" of the settlements is vastly overrated. The settlements were built on unused unfarmed land; no Palestinian Arabs were kicked out of their homes or off their land to make room for them. The settler communities actually employ large numbers of local Arabs, so are good for the economy there. They've established major business enterprises, such as the SodaStream company. Getting rid of all the settlements would be economically disastrous for the West Bank.
