You can't beat Terry's Cafe in London for a Full English Breakfast! If you are looking for one of the best Full English Breakfasts around then take a walk with The MacMaster to South East London to Terry's Cafe that was opened in 1982.
The post-WWII London style cafe is known for its signature breakfast dish, "The Works", which we tried and consists of Cumberland sausage, eggs, beans, tomatoes, black pudding, bubble and squeak, mushrooms and bacon. However I opted out of the Black Pudding. Apparently it separates The Men from The Boys so Terry's Son and now the owner Austin told me.

He seemed a bit grumpy threw your tea down and walked off, I love bubble and sqeak was brought up on it, it's just left over potatoes and cabbage from the Sunday roast some add onion and carrot and then refry it. Looks quality I would pay that for locally sourced, I wouldn't personally go, something off about the owner. Great vlog, you should do a day trip to Brighton so easy to get to by train from London and so much to do, or Southend on sea many places to visit I'm currently in great Yarmouth Lee 😁

We visited end of Jan 2022. A crisp Sunday morning, we sat outside as we were wrapped up. Austin walked in as we were sitting. Wished us good morning. The breakfast was plentiful and absolutely delicious. Absolutely faultless. Staff were lovely, doesn’t get any better than that. Thank you for looking after us.

£13.75 is expensive but you have to pay more for quality. Bumble and squeak became popular in wartime when we had ration books and the leftovers from the Sunday lunch was fried up the next morning for breakfast another fantastic video cheers

That to me is the epitome of a traditional British cafe, red and white checked plastic table coverings, the shape of the building, the layout inside, it just shouts "CAFE". I'm with you on the black pudding Lee, food of the Devil, love a good bubble and squeak though.

For me, I would prefer the sausage cooked some more and a plain egg. Could you get an extra egg or rasher of bacon instead of the black pudding for the same price? And was that service charge included in your bill or extra?

Great video breakfast looked good but did look like it was just all chucked on the plate. Tad expensive and I turn my nose up at anywhere that puts an automatic service charge on the bill. Any tips should be at customers discretion.cheers for sharing.😀

I wondered when you would do a review at what I think is one of London`s best cafes. I remember going to Terry`s in 2014 and ordering the Full English...in my view it`s one of London`s best...and the portion of Bubble and Squeak is wonderfully generous😋 I rate this fantastic Full English 10 out 0f 10.

A very nice looking Full English Breakfast there my friend. Also a lovely touch there too with the Bubble & Squeak. I'm not a lover of Hash Browns, so if given a choice i'd pick the Bubble & Squeak every time. As for the Tomatoes, i can take either. But some cafe's tend to give fresh Tomatoes only a very light grill or fry, this tends to lead to quite a cold Tomato on the plate. Whereas tinned Tomatoes are usually piping hot, so i agree with your choice. The Bacon & Sausage looked good too, although for my liking the Sausage could've been cooked a little longer on the underside, it looked a little anemic to me, but that's just my personal choice. About ten years ago, i had a friend who worked at a local meat wholesalers, and via him, i could get hold of some really high quality large catering packs of Bacon. It was absolutely delicious. We used to get all our meat from there, including our Sunday roast joints. Unfortunately these days, most supermarket meats are full of water and fat, and they just don't have any taste to them anymore. Obviously there are high quality specialist meat purveyors around the country, like "Donald Russell"... but their prices, are sadly out of my price range. Good to see you found yourself a good cafe for a Full English Breakfast though. Cheers buddy.

The word Cafe maybe from the French, but its a restaurant not a greasy spoon, or working mans cafe as we know it. Looks like mid morning so no white vans etc. Seems a bit over priced, I was in an over priced garden centre last week, 18 miles outside of London . Started with the sausage as per normal “Lingfield” really good then it carried on for the rest , top quality, with a pot of tea x 3.5 cups. Customers out the door so to speak Up the road is a Greasy spoon, very poor sausage and the rest much the same, but it would do to fill up on stodge before starting work. . I had to go and meet some relation on 11/07/21 same place, again out the door. Business rates and rents are extortionate in the London postal districts, Our breakfast for two was just under £20. No doubt Terrys café has quality food, but a little bit pricy.

I worked 100mtrs from this place for about 10 years - gone down hill a bit due to the influx of northeners visiting but quality is always there.
