it wasn't the best, it lacked in having a real plot other than a rescue mission, but the spinosaurus was awesome, as was the different raptor breed, and WAY BETTER than jurassic world. Hope with Jeff Goldblum coming back it'll be better than that film. Jurassic Park III just suffered from too many rewrites, it would've been just as good if not better than say last world if they'd kept to the multiple film scenes pulled from prior books unused and various great spots but went with the original "the dinosaurs are sick and dying what do we do about this" plot instead of "rescue this kid." It was still an enjoyable movie.

A suspension bridge? You know how fucking long that would have to be from Isla Nubar to Venezuela? Which would be impossible to attach to the other side without swimming in the first place, which they would be incapable of doing for such a great distance Then theres the matter of obtaining the materials, they'd have to scour the whole island for wood, which is labor intensive, as most of it would undoubtedly be a large % of uncut trees, but they'd never have enough anyways Then theres rope, obtaining that or making it long enough for the bridge, for both sides Plus supports, and testing to see if a bridge of such length can even support their own weight let alone the weight of the bridge If they went with a bridge first rather than a boat, they arent too bright

Yeah, I remember a example of this joke in an obscure movie called “Arms Race Day” (4 policemen head to a house) Policeman 1: open your door sir! You are under arrest! Criminal(he lives in the house): No! Policeman 1: if you do, we will break down your door! Criminal: good luck! (The policemen attempt to break down the door) Policeman 2: ah! It’s no use, he built the door well! Policeman 3: well what do we do? Policeman 1: well, we can pick the lock! (Policeman 1 attempts to pick the lock) Criminal: (thinking) ah? You’re picking the lock? Well, time to bring out the car battery. (Criminal sends an electric shock through the doorknob, and the officer is given a ground from the lock) Policeman 1: AGH!!! Alright! Let’s do something else, we can pretend we have the entire police force heading for him! Policeman 3: ah! It’s a very good idea boss! Policeman 2: yes! (Policeman 2 and policeman 3 bring out a bullhorn) Policeman 2: _Hello. We have you surrounded! Exit your home or we will enter your house with force!_ Policeman 3: (fake helicopter noises) Criminal: (pretending to sound scared) oh no, alright, come in! (The police try to head in, only for policeman 2 and 3 to get shot with a pistol) Policeman 2 & 3: AGH!!! Policeman 1: alright, so what the hell do we do now ah? Policeman 4: I have an idea. (Policeman 4 brings out a French flag from his pocket with a short version of the French anthem playing for a second, he slides the flag under the doorframe) Criminal: what’s this? Why did you put a French flag under my door? (Thinking) I will shoot you with the gun, you really are stupid are you? (Policeman 4 then slams on the door just when criminal pulls out the key. the key falls into the flag, and policeman 4 pulls the flag quickly) Criminal: NO! The key! Policeman 4: aha! Now we get you this time. The criminal gets arrested and the story continues from there after

"The Critic" was a show from the 90s about a movie critic named Jay sherman (voiced by Jon lovitz) and his daily life. they would always make parodies like this and present them as actual movies for Jay to review (usually disliking them and using his catchphrase "it stinks"). Jay Sherman even appeared on an episode of The Simpsons for a crossover. it's a shame no one really remembers this show. the animation was well done and the scripts were good. I have every episode, I thought it was pretty damn funny.

Matt Groening really hated the idea of the crossover. He ended up having his name removed from the credits. Despite that, I think it's a really good episode, with a lot of funny gags. A noticeable example would be the interview with Wolfcastle, which is a joke that's aged like fine wine, given how Hollywood has become even more excessive with throwing large sums of money at stars to turn out piles of garbage we quickly forget about. The main plot tied together quite nicely with the whole town getting behind the film festival. Mr. Burns was on his A-game as the antagonist, and Sherman was a good foil for Homer. Overall, Matt Groening's disapproval did nothing to stop this from being a fun and classic episode.

in truth, a size of a raptor is the same as a hot water bottle.

In the novel the raptors literally just hitched a ride on cargo ships.

*_WHY WAS THE LOCK ON THE INSIDE!?_*
@jameshumphrey34256 жыл бұрын
Imperfect I know but the raptor unlocked the door from inside

It's a Double-sided lock. Every door in my house has those. Each lock has its own key that can be used on either side.

LETS GET 1000 SUBS WITH NO VIDS Well, except for the inside-side of our house entrance and door that opens to the garden.

Kaan Dagdas Most interior doors can be locked from either side with the same key (at least where I live), but this is only a closet, hence the first comment. I guess?

LETS GET 1000 SUBS WITH NO VIDS I thought all doors are like that. You can lock them and unlock them from both sides

"I beg to differ, the other raptors and I have built a crude suspension to Venuswailia, once there I shall take odd jobs under the name of sir Phillip, but I have said too much already." Clever sport.

Writer of the comment here, I was a lot younger when I wrote this and both couldn't spell Venezuela and wanted to try and use an original name to be different
I’d say I’m so glad KZbin recommend this, but then I saw it was uploaded 13yrs ago, so now I’m annoyed it wasn’t recommended sooner!! Just wish my family had sky/cable back in 90s, as sounds like The Critic would have been right up my alley! Sadly doesn’t look like it ever eventually aired ln basic 5 channels in UK, so dare say most Brit’s alive in 90s missed out.

I love how they just wait for the raptor to do the whole trick to escape instead of doing something about it.

I wish for more self aware and creative shows such as The Critic, and even Dilbert.
