He was offside for setting up that try! Wasn’t he still responsible for crucial tries against Penrith in the GF? Also in Origin where he gets in the way of Hynes trying to tackle. Attack he’s good no doubt, but his defence leaves a lot to be desired

Generally one of the best defensive halves in the game. And he said himself that he wasn’t playing well in the first 20 mins after halftime in the gf. What made his performance so great was backing himself despite not having played well, and then come up with multiple winning plays. Also his effort plays in defence is off the charts. Always backs up after making tackles and is constantly chasing when linebreaks are made - intercept against Storm in prelim as an example.
