Sharona was the best for Monk... Natalie was a mean and well... kinda of a shitty person to Monk!!!... Sharona understood Monk completely and totally... and after Natalie came in it was no longer fun --- something seemed missing!!! And the reason Bitty Schram got let go was cuz she asked for better salary!!!! Which was a reasonable request as their chemistry was much stronger than Natalie!!! Nowadays if they did anything like this to female actors "THEY" would get their asses sued left and right!!! Oh also up and down!!!!!!

Sharona was his nurse. Her priority was to get him better and not his cases. Natalie was his assistant, her job was to aid him in his work. This actually forced Monk to do think Sharona was obligated to do or Natalie could very much call Monk out on.

Sharona was the one who backed him back when he had no friends, when the Captain was deadset against getting any help from Monk on his cases. She forced Adrian to get better after Trudy died. And she (a nurse) was paid less than Nathalie (an assistant) as the first thing Nathalie asked for was better pay (expenses at least). Also, (personal opinion) Nathalie did some stupid things like breaking into a man's house to prove he was a killer and taking the Captain's brand new car, damaging it beyond repair over and over without any remorse. Sharona never did anything like that.
