Sometimes it's best to let people find out about someone the hard way. Whilst I can see that some people (usually the narcissistically inclined) use the pretense of 'warning' someone as a cover to gossip about, smear and discredit another person's character, others do sometimes try to genuinely and quietly warn others that they feel are in some sort of danger because it isn't always appropriate or safe to be outrightly confrontational or direct. They are usually 'rewarded' by the person going straight to the person they were warned about and saying such and such said x, y and z about you. This is why I no longer warn anyone - they will drop you in the proverbial time and time again, without any consideration of the awkward/hostile situation they may create.

I noticed that the problematic people who know you're not buying their bs are just waiting for you to talk about them so that they can be a victim and confront you with their puppets to back them. This is why I stay happy, never speak of them and stay away from them. Some people need to be confronted, but with narcissists it's best to completely disengage and play dumb to be safe. Unless we're close friends I'm not warning anybody. Some people also need to learn that lesson for themselves.

I can see how it effects adults to be emotionally manipulated, but it is a whole other level of evil when they use all manner of duplicity to isolate a small child, sabotaging their development, by sabotaging relationships behind the scenes, removing protective factors, safe adults that provide a consistent involvement with care, a sense of security. Thank you Cassandra! You are my go to for valid insights, that never fail to clarify what I know, but evil goes to great lengths to destroy ability to take proper actions. But I avoid conflict enough to put up with BS and sometimes I freeze Until I end up exploding. Or end up stewing. Heavenly Father please continue to give me strength I seem to bear the weight of the world on my shoulders as a single mom, I face challenges that can seem impossible especially with raising two children with special needs. Lord I’m struggling to make ends meet, to pay bills, and to put food on the table for my children and I feel so alone. I’m constantly in fear. At times I want to give up. I prefer to distance from them after I have discovered their lies. No need to have any confrontation. They know what they did. Blocking them is enough message that I can see through them.
