Hmmm...on one of my hands my fingers say high testosterone, on the other hand they say nope. So was being left-handed vs right-handed taken into consideration? Do you need to messure strong side or weak side hand? My strong side hand says high testosterone, but I am left handed and my left hand says low testosterone, I've been involved in submission grappling for over a decade(knuckles dislocate which leads to swelling or scar tissue), possiblly the reason for the difference between hands? Were these type of confounding factors included in the study?

It's interesting that this video came up the day after we discussed finger ratio in one of my psych courses yesterday. A greater ratio where the ring finger is longer than the index finger has been tied to a great many things, but they're all correlative. A study suggested that a higher ratio meant a poorer performance in numeracy in males, but a higher ratio for females meant a greater performance in literacy (Brosnan, 2008). Though, that involved testing primary school-aged children, so I feel that there would be other underlying factors that impact school testing results between male and female students other than testosterone indicators. The oddest study we looked at suggested that there was a strong correlation between the finger ratio on the left hand only and sexual orientation (Putz et.al., 2004).
