I just put a collar trade on losers. That is sell a covered call and buy a put on your stock. If you’re really under water sell 2 calls to pay for the put. It’s all fun and games.

Sell an Iron Condor and put the strikes just outside the resistance lines that price keeps bouncing from i.e. the upper and lower bounds of the range. I can't even get a 44 day fill on an iron condor. I have to do 2 verticals just to try and get one filled. Whats to say getting out of an iron condor isn't just as hard.

Problem with this repair strategy is that you're dramatically reducing your profit and increasing your risk. If the market gaps up overnight then you won't have anymore credit to adjust it.

You are right to an extent! The profit potential is less! Using this strategy anything above 1% is a bonus! But this strategy is for times when you clearly know the market is in range! Which is mostly the case! Taking weekly options based on the open interest data is the way to go! To add to this, due to the added volatility in the market nowdays, the IV spike is tremendous, so you get great premiums and the profit potential are also higher! Thats all an option seller needs! Range bound volatile market!

@@chanpreetanand7056 Yea but all the companies with high IV are trending down. They are not in a range. This only works in range bound markets but thay cant be forcasted. A stock can be in a range one day and breaking out the next.
