Welcome from Vancouver, British Columbia. Thank you for this lovely video, you are right, in Poland you can eat, a really good delicious food, mostly home made. We love polish donuts, because they used, the traditional recipe, eggs, butter, milk and flour.

Hey MrJanusz! So jealous that this quality of food is there. We love everything about Poland and we'd be the size of a house if we lived there! Haha! John & Becky x

Tell your guide that we don't have "russian" pierogi. We only have ruthenian ones. Beautiful reaction from you two, really enjoed it!

Hey Nikka! Will pass the message on next time we see him. Either way, the food was absolutely beautiful! This is exactly why we love Poland and keep coming back! John & Becky x

We like to give people an idea of how to do it (where we can). Uber is the quickest option but the train is a nice run too.

If you're in public place in Poland you can filming everything what you want including embassy, police station, military area, governmetn buliding, businnes building etc. Same like in uk. I realize that it is difficult to discuss with someone in a foreign language. This is in the matter of applicable law :)) All the best .

Hey Blubry! We didn't know this but thank you for telling us. The police were quite defensive at first until they realised we were filming the restaurant on the other side. We understand. Many thanks for your comment. John & Becky x

@@blubrydarka2028 Thanks. This was from our trip in November last year and our last stop. We've got more to come though such as our 'throwbacks' to how we used to film in South East Asia, Tenerife vlogs and we will be filming next month as we backpack Sri Lanka, so there's plenty coming!

You're filming USA embassy ;) at Stolarska Street. That's the reason.
@blubrydarka20282 жыл бұрын
@@JPAGH In Poland you can filming everything from public pleace. Sidewalk on the street in town is public pleace. Including us embassy.

One note. Your colleague didn't translate correctly. These were Ruthenian dumplings, not Russian dumplings! Ruthenia was part of Poland for many centuries. Their name comes from the name of this region, and not from Russia. The word "Ruski" has become synonymous with Russian in everyday language. Therefore, a wrong translation.

Thanks for your comment and explaining further Yake. Sometimes translation is never perfect. We really appreciate your input! John & Becky x

What is the obssesion in russian pierogi? It's not even popular and quite meh. Meat or cabbage&mashroom are much better and much more popular.
@ParksTravelGuide2 жыл бұрын
Hey Bee. It's one of the things you see on nearly every menu and we love to try new things. We agree it's quite bland though. We will keep an eye out for your recommendation!

@@ParksTravelGuide Potato pancakes with beef gulasz. Maybe to spicy for summer but great. For something sweet try "gofry" with wiped cream and fruit, or ice cream (but not the one you can buy from chain store). Grilled fish is great (raibow trout, flounder, pike perch). Watch out to not get overcharged on the last one.

That sounds so good Bee! We're definitely hungry now 😆

that are not russian pierrogy, they are named after ancient polish region who is now part of the western ukraine named Ruthenia or Rus
@mypointofview11112 жыл бұрын
Try baking pierogi in the oven for 20 mins 180°C and brush with melted butter. I can assure you they aren't meh in the slightest.
