I started my locs with relaxed/texturized ends , I absolutely love it. 2 years in my locs are growing beautifully. Most of my ends are still present and I love it. It's giving me such a different look to my locs. Goddess locs like. I had maybe 5 inches of new growth.

Hey Nympha!👋🏽…Yessss! Having the relaxed ends definelty gives the locs a more distinct look, to me is more airy, but you said it perfectly, almost like a goddess locs look. Keep enjoying your journey hun, thanks for sharing!💕

You definitely can get Sisterlocks on relaxed hair. You're even told that in the SL class. folks who want to cut your hair obviously don't want to do long hair..a little trim is okay, but your hair should be fine .

I started regular locs on partially relaxed hair. I was originally doing a relaxer stretch and did braids as a protective style and then found out that you could loc your hair that way. So I did it. I just left them in and then followed nature. 6-8 weeks for a routine retwist at the moment seems to work for me. Otherwise anything longer leaves the new growth in a tangled mess.

@@LaZy3LocD It's been over a year and a half. I have done a trim since then and most of the relaxer is nearly gone. Growing thick and strong still.

Last year I used a relaxer to soften by daughter's curl pattern. This year I decided to start her on her microloc journey and her hair is doing fine. However, it still depends on how relaxed your hair is. Natural locs haven't been stripped of its natural oils while relaxed hair has been so one must find a balance with the products they use. Natural hair isn't brittle but relaxed hair can become brittle, be dry, and break off. She's right but keep in mind to each his own. Cosmetologist here!

I am intrigued, by the way you like to experiment and think outside of the box! I would like to know have you ever used superglue to secure the ends in place so that they will not unravel as they do on short loc’s, relaxed, heat damaged straight ends?

Hey James! Great question here…I actually choose to wrap-braid my ends to secure my relaxed ends, I have a video comming up on that. But had I known what I know now about superglue I would have absolutely used the superglue. I’m actually going to try this on a few locs today which the braid unraveled. @@LaZy3LocD I’ll be watching to learn how and if superglue works in a positive way to keep loc’s from unraveling! I am planning on opening my own salon suite in Irving, TX. I want to specialize in interlocking micro loc’s and retightening new growth and loc maintenance basically all of the services that I have been trying to find but learned to do myself. Now I fully understand that there is a great need for these services to be provided and I am very happy to maintain and train others to become self-sufficient in their lock journey. I am looking forward to more of your innovative videos. Thank you so much for sharing.

They tell u u can get it wit 1 inch of new growth w/ relaxed ends they never say ur relaxed part will lock...they just tell u can start with relaxed ends later on down the line when u gain length u can cut the ends off if u choose or not 🤷🏾‍♀️

Trying to find Miss violet wonder Steven's channel. Started my journey about two years ago and have noticed that my straight ends are sucking up into my locs. Is this part of the process or should I cut the permed ends off. My loc consultant thinks it would be better to cut, but I'm not sure that's the route for me. Anyone else facing this dilemma?

Hi Ms. Jacquie!👋🏽 So her channel is violetwonder7 she should be the first channel that pops up. And I know what you mean by the straight ends. I wouldn’t worry about cutting it but if you don’t like the way it looks then of course do whatever to make your loc journey successful to you.😊🤞🏽

I got them with relaxed ends but it was horrible - didn’t look so good on the straight parts. My second set was on all natural and it looked so much better 🙌🏿 You can tell the difference between my sets in my videos.

Hey Janel👋🏽…she actually established me under the sisterlocks technique. On my relaxed hair I seen the same pattern as well and where she couldn’t pattern I braided it
