Ok but Castiel's theme is the perfect combination of despair and hope, idk how else to explain it. It's painful and makes me cry but also makes me feel like the person from who's POV this is, is happy in the sadness. It sounds exactly like someone sacrificing themselves for a loved one. And the way it transitions to Dean's theme which is nothing but utter despair and hopelessness. FERAL. THIS IS FERAL.

castiel had the biggest character growth in all of the supernatural characters how he went from an emotion less soldier of the lord to betray heaven and stand aside the winchesters and fight with them was just beautifull
