The plaintiff used to be engaged to the defendant. She claims the defendant stole money from their joint bank account after they broke up, so she’s suing. The defendant argues the plaintiff cheated on him with another man and the money he took out of the account was his. He says the plaintiff stole a water filtration system, so he’s countersuing for that cost.

Hands down timeshares are the biggest financial scams out there. They are way overpriced up front, with most of the upfront costs going towards sales and commissions--and then you are stuck with increasing maintenance fees forever (even after death).

As someone who's worked in banking for over 15 years, this is why you don't add someone to your bank account that you don't trust. The verbage in the contract for the account stipulates that either party can act on said funds independently. I don't believe he owed her any of those funds as he is an owner of the account and can do with the funds whatever he pleases as could she. He just beat her to the punch. But he's an idiot for not getting out of that stupid time share while he had the chance.
