The plaintiff says he and the defendant dated for a few months until the jealous woman tried to run him over because she thought he was cheating. She then rammed his car, causing extensive damage, so he’s suing for the cost. The defendant says the plaintiff is lying and is suing her because she filed a protection order against him. She’s countersuing for impound fees, a car note, and emotional distress.

I believe she knew that he was already in a relationship and continued to deal with him. He was heavy in them streets and she still dealt with him. She is angry at herself😔 She can only blame him so much before she also holds herself accountable for allowing him to get away with it. I know I made mistakes when choosing partners when I was young, like most. But at some point people, women in particular, must hold themselves accountable for who they choose. This young lady needs guidance, therapy, and maturity. The plaintiff is absolutely no prize and I have zero sympathy for him. But people will only do what you allow. I see comments expressing how relieved they are to be single because they don't want to deal with things like this. But in all reality, relationships are supposed to be beautiful and add value to your life. One of the biggest problems is not vetting partners properly. People get so caught up in physical attraction, popularity, or money. Ignoring all the flashing warning signs. Sounds like this young lady needs a better support system and better self esteem. Best of luck to her and those in similar situations.

At some point, you can't blame the other person for the BS that they put you through. Once you see who you're dealing with, you make the decision to leave or stick around for it. She's the type of person that enjoys the drama then cries about it.
@wvrjl

That means that you allowed it to continue for a decade, although I'm glad you finally left. The only people I really feel for are the ones seriously worried that they'll be killed (by their spouse) if they leave, and, of course, the children who make no choices. You make their choices for them. I've been involved with people in abusive relationships, and usually, they don't WANT to leave. It's a twisted co-dependant relationship.
