The plaintiff says she rented a room in the defendant’s house, but the woman would shut off the electricity and gas for days out of spite, and she kicked the plaintiff out with no notice. She’s suing for what she’s owed. The defendant says she did the plaintiff a favor by renting the room to her, but she was such a nightmare that the defendant had to call the police. She’s countersuing for rent and damages.

How the hell you gonna rent a room, not house, not half a house, a room for 3 people and one on the way. Then how you gonna tell someone who they can and can't have in the apartment/house? Get your own HOUSE. Hell, a hotel/motel room is better.

Did you watch the story? I thought the exact same way before I watched the whole story.. its crazy.. the defendant..may have been out there.. and if the plaintiff saw it .. the kids saw it. No mother being accused of 1. Prostitution in the house where their kids reside, 2. Not feeding their kids doesn't say .. something when being accused of this kind of neglect, and mental abuse...

I can tell if you had a significant other and y'all went through hard times you would leave. It's a lot of reasons other than someone being lazy that ppl rent rooms. The plaintiff NEVER explained WHY they had to but that they had to for a short period of time. A person could be waiting for their next apartment to get ready while they just rent a cheap room from someone. Instead of going to a hotel, where in VA a NICE one with a kitchenette is $300 a week (I've had to do this because I had no family to help); that's $1200 a month! Even if you get the cheapest, it comes with a lot of uneasiness because of the area and ppl, especially with a small child/children. Or even if you rented from family, you would still have to pay them IF they had the means and room to help, at least I would. I say this all to say you don't know what OPTIONS or what ppl are going through.
@micksxxxx
@micksxxxx 2 жыл бұрын
I don't understand why you seem to think it should be all down to the husband to provide, there are two adults in that relationship. "Your husband ain't sh*t" ? honestly what kind of a person are you to say that. I'm sure that man is doing everything he can to provide for his family. If he has found a roof over their head, even if it is just "a room" then he is doing better than some others - at least he's there! at the end of the day, that's what the kids are going to remember. You have a cheek to call the plaintiff entitled, when you're coming across as pretty entitled yourself. Don't look down on others just because you have more.

As parents, they had an obligation to ensure they were in a safe home for their child. If they had concerns about the conditions, they should have moved out and gotten their own apartment. The husband should have been hustling hard to get them into a better home. Regardless of what they thought, the defendant at least had her own place. So exactly how big is this "room" if you and your man plus child and new baby are there in it worried about who comes and goes from the home? The judge explained in another case that the person’s reasons for reporting you don’t matter. What matters is if there was any truth the the claims. The defendant couldn’t seem to get her story straight about how many men were visiting her at the house so that’s probably why the judge didn’t award her any money.

We are social creatures and not made to be by ourselves. I think if that person isn't treating you badly, hurting you, or disrespecting you, it would be better going through that said heat with them than by yourself. The other one has a place but has to invite a whole family of strangers into her place to try to make it work. All of these people are either dealing with hard times, or they’re fuck ups, or a combination of both.
