I have two 1942 pennies. Both were circulated and now have a nice brown color. One has a little bit of gunk on it which slightly obscures the 2 in 1942 but it is visible none the less. I know everyone say don't clean it so, it will remain as is. Now I have to check to see if there is any double dye on it's reverse. Best to all.

I have the 1942 Lincoln penny on Equador 10 cent planchet. I did not know what to make of it at first and found myself contemplating over what would have to take place in order to produce such an odd look on my penny. At first I thought someone had altered it but looking at how it’s the same look on both sides of the coin and evenly distributed I decided to look it up online and you answered my question within 10 minutes of searching it out. How can I send photos of the coin in order to get feedback from you concerning its value? Should I have I graded?

Yes they were originally struck in Philadelphia but they stopped in the middle of the mint making and only produced 10 million of those and they issued them to prostitutes who service the politicians in the Washington DC area the typical was 25 cents for a b****** and there was a lot of that going on at the time so there you have it
