They're talking about Joey's newest album 2000, and to be honest, yeah. It's a heartfelt, beautifully produced rap record and it is also probably a 7/10. I think 1999 has more standouts even though he's very obviously improved on basically every aspect of his craft since then.

He does have a point. The only rap song I ever cried to was a Kanye song about his mom on one of his first albums, I forgot the name.

I think there is a underlying thing to be said they critics like him are approaching the music in a technical and statistical way and not in a emotional and heartfelt way which is how the majority of an audience would

You can tell Joey not fazed with the rating cause he know its one mans opinion versus his and even if you don't agree with it, you gotta respect it, plus he know that shit was hard 💀

I believe he cried while listening to Mac Miller’s last album. I don’t think there’s anyone who could listen to that album without crying.

If you give something a 10, that means it’s of the highest praise. Nothing could be better. That’s why no legitimate critic would give something a 10 because how can you say “this is the greatest it’s ever been or ever will be”?

Do you even know that you're on an anthony fantano video? A guy who clearly gives a lot of 10s for great albums, is he not a legitimate critic?

At this point Fantano does not care about actually rating music. He gives albums scores solely to piss off people he hates and get brownie points for people he likes

Guess what Melon is really saying is that Joey's album was really a Decent 6, but the tears bumped it up to a Light 7. 😆

Joey doesn't realize that Anthony crying to his song bumped up the score from a 6 to a 7
