Jack is a polished pro at the highest level.

I love the fact that he is relaxed, and not an intimidating present in the room.
@SimpleManGuitars19732 жыл бұрын
@@Theweeze100 When I was a kid I saw him with the ABB and he literally just stood there wearing overalls and a train conductor looking hat and smoking a pipe and also smoking a Strat. I still have that image ingrained in my brain and I was about 15 years old. He was right in front of me and I've never forgotten him. He's an absolute master beyond belief.

Did anyone notice how quick Jack reached into his pocket, slipped on a slide and started the break? Totally outrageous!

Eric W yes I noticed that & I’ve seen him do it many times I’ve known jack for years and he’s a very down to earth guy, and the nicest guy in Nashville as far as great guitarist. There’s not a bit of arrogance of any kind in his personality. Everyone who comes to town & thinks he’s going to be the best guy in town, well once the see Jack Live they just lower the head and turn around and go somewhere else

I just love Laura's version of this song! The performances by the guitar players are so natural and just perfect! I wish they would post more video selections like this!

One of the very rare moments when Joscho meets someone who matches or even tops his genious musical abilities.

Not taking anything away from Joscho Stephan, he's a fine young guitarist BUT comparing him to Jack Pearson is just not fair, Jack's part of the top-level tier of guitarists who shares company with the likes of Wes Montgomery, Tommy Emmanuel, Johnny Hyland, Brent Mason, Pat Metheny, Jeff Beck, etc.... Yes, he's that good!

Joscho, the only one actually listening and trying to adapt to the style of the singer and the actual song. I know they are good, but the other guitarists were just throwing notes for the sake of it, almost looked bored. Here you can see who actually practice harmony and musicality, and who just like to improvise while the rest of the musicians do the job for them. Joscho voicings were on fucking point.

Laura Spence. My daughter. The jam session was all fast awesome songs and I was wanting Laura to get to sing for Jack so I asked if they could do that song. Laura resisted at first but have in. What a moment it was. Joscho Stephan, Jack Pearson, Eddie Cochran, and Casper Esman standing in the back. All great players, all world class. Thanks for the comment. Ha. That was from a year ago, sorry I don’t keep up with comments very well. But when one comes in I send it to Laura and I hope it encourages her.

The guitarists were being extra and over the top. I only listened because the girl's voice was truly inspiring and sounded amazing. If only the girl could get a studio recording and release the song with instruments in the background (not musicians being over the top), that would be amazing.

The young man on the right side of the picture could be great fingerstyle-guitarist Pauli Halme. Am I right? I'm not sure. Check him out. He plays pieces in the style of Chet Atkins in a very precise way.
@jacksfan082 жыл бұрын
well, it's the annual Chet Atkins Appreciation Society convention, so I'd say that's a good bet. Every Chet devotee ends up there at some point. There are wonderful performances in the grand ballroom, workshops, vendor displays and more. But the real gold to be mined here is the music that happens after the shows are over and pros and unknowns and even punters can all hang out. Not sure what the cost is but it's a bargain for what you get.
@jimspence17232 жыл бұрын
Do you mean the second soloist or farther to the right?
