I got interested in spirituality accidently. I've never meditated in my life. At first Rupert seemed unclear and strange for my mind, and I was afraid to lose "myself". So I stopped watching all the spiritual videos. But after a while my curiousity won, and I returned to do that. Amazingly and gradually I started grasping the words of spiritual teachers, started understanding Rupert more and more. But I haven't been forming any ideas, beliefs about anything. Just remained empty of any kind of knowledge. And yes, I lost "myself" - the image I had perceived myself to be. But in my heart I saw the bottomless love and knew the reality, the life I am. One shouldn't stick or cling to anything at all. Just be, just observe. And you will feel the Beauty of Yourself.

I understand what he says deep inside, that focussing on meditation, practices etc can become an obstacle one can get caught up in that, and to the mind, what Robert is saying sounds too simple - yet perhaps it really is that simple - that after all we cannot truly be anything other than what we already are. Also, I've never really taken to formal meditation perhaps it suits some people.

Reminds me of that passage from ACIM: "Simply do this: Be still, and lay aside all thoughts of what you are and what God is; all concepts you have learned about the world; all images you hold about yourself. Empty your mind of everything it thinks is either true or false, or good or bad, of every thought it judges worthy, and all the ideas of which it is ashamed. Hold onto nothing. Do not bring with you one thought the past has taught, nor one belief you ever learned before from anything. Forget this world, forget this course, and come with wholly empty hands unto your God."

This channel has been reflecting my exact feelings with every new video I click on. It is nice to let go of trying to discipline our minds trying to be focused all the time and just sit with everything that is happening. The thoughts may be their but they seem much less of a threat than If I was trying to control my attention. Love the feelings of connectedness in this state. Everything just seems ok!

Discipline is needed to restrain the false impulse of ego centric thought but in people who have not had a revelation after a long period of no results the inevitable antithesis presents itself as naturally as the self-reveals itself when nothing is left over and nothing remains. ; )

@davekay7221

As a seeker-an apparently localized, separate self-a “recognition” of our true nature defines self-awakening. This recognition is indeed an “experience” from that localized perspective. The transition from ignorance to knowing, to direct seeing, is best described as an experience despite the concession in language that is being made. I lovingly disagree with Rupert here. She needs hope to keep going. If not, why would anyone study and practice if absolutely nothing is to happen? This is likely not an effective teaching tactic. It is true from the perspective of Awareness that nothing happens, that awareness shines ever-present despite any veiling of mind that eclipses its light. Nevertheless, to speak of THAT is always a concession. It is enough for her to repeatedly ask, “to whom do these many thoughts belong?” To find their source is to find natural luminous awareness. Rest there, and the rest will take care of itself. One does not need to silence thoughts, but one does need to return over and over again to the ocean of pure awareness within which thoughts come and go. Only then will Awareness make itself known-as an aha moment-an “experience” of clarity-emerges from the darkness of confusion and ignorance.
@ferdinandocoluccelli9574

Well, "who" needs help? not the Awareness that is already perfect. The "person" then? The only effective help it would need is about "how accept itself as not-the-real-self". do you have any recipe for that? 🙏
@davekay7221
@davekay7221 Жыл бұрын
@@ferdinandocoluccelli9574That there is someone at all in need of help exists only in mind-a “perspective” of an apparently localized self. A curious dance of reflections and refractions of mind. Awareness is. How does one localized within a dream wake oneself up? Only the dreamer awakens. Whatever momentum impels a dream impels the apparently “real” life you live. Both dreams will play out as they are destined to. To step out of the shackles of karma, one must continuously withdraw any and all apparent experiences into the ocean of pure awareness. Over and over the enquiry, “to whom do these experiences belong?” The “I” or “I am” awareness is the natural state. Remain there as often as possible. When “you” rest there, the rest will take care of itself.

Hi Rupert, ever since I started watching your videos, I was able to tap so much into my consciousness and discover that I am Awareness and it all felt so good, but now my mind seems to be clamping down really hard, and it's like there's an entity in my head that's constantly over-reactive and causing all sorts of clenching or tightness in my body, it makes me unable to burp or fart or poop easily, it's amplifying the pain I feel from all sorts of things and feelings, and it's affecting my life really much. When I try to talk to this entity, I always get the same answers, it wants me to suffer, and the reason it is here is because of all the consciousness work that I did, and that it is killing it, so it wants me to stop, but I have already stopped for so long, almost weeks, but this entity is still here, and it's just making life harder and harder by the day, I'm like having constipation and bloating just from the fact that mind is so tight that it won't let me release, and my entire life is now centered around finding ways to burp and fart and poop. No matter how hard I try to make peace or be friends with it, it just stays silent, and gives me no answer, and whenever I even think about anything that's slightly triggering to it, like abiding in God consciousness, or meditating, or simply being jolted by sudden movements, and noises, it just goes absolutely nuts, and clenches up completely, making the top of my head feel like there's a clamp on it. I really need help on this, have you or anyone here encountered such a phenomenon before? And what would you guys recommend I do to put an end to this? Is there a way to come to peaceful terms with it? A way for it to just let go if I would stop the meditations? Do I just give it time to calm down? It seems worse and worse each day. Do I keep on practicing meditation regardless of how painful it is and maybe it will be gone forever? But it just feels worse and worse the more I do it, and it always comes back, and it feels wrong to be forcing things like this. I feel like my life is really going to end if I don't find any solutions, anyone who has any idea what's going on and what I should be doing, I would be so grateful to hear from you!

Peace is not something to be achieved. Peace is YOU. Its already present fact. There is no such thing as the power of now, just Power that is Now, literally! Now, Reality, is not a student of Itself. One cannot become what One already is. A so-called separate "you" will never achieve peace, live in the Now, or be more present. Now is already now. This One is Alone, the Sole Self present, hence It precludes there being another. In Reality there are no people with separate minds, with a separate consciousness, a separate life, a separate intelligence. What Is can't be divided up like a pie and place inside a so-called thing called a body. Life is not a possession. Life is All There Is. What appears seems to appears within Life, that is the Infinite One Itself. It's not possible to put Infinity inside of a so-called finite body. There is but one Infinity, one All, one Now, that being the One that actually is. Truth is true because IT truly is. Reality is real because It really is. As Now is what All is, It is the Alone One, the Sole Self present, precluding the possibility of there being "others." Life is living, Existence is existing, is Jin Lan or Ferdinand involved in making that so? Of course not. Now is All, the singular invisible, immeasurable, alive Substance existent, indeed is Existence. Has Changeless Reality ever needed a solution? Does All have a problem? There is only Infinite Mind, this one Omnipresent Intelligence. No separate selves, no separate so-called people each having their own Consciousness. There is only Pure Consciousness. One cannot become what One already is. To seek a solution in the future would be futile, as the future can never be present, only the Present is present. Past and future are simply passing speculative thoughts. One cannot think about Now as that would require time of which when it come to Now there is none. Time would be when it is not Now. When is that? Never! Of course, one is free to disagree with all that has been stated here but this will have no impact on WHAT IS, as WHAT IS is All that is.

It's about stopping all efforts, cause as he said, if we think we have a condition to first be achieved before peace can come we are delaying it, we already are enlightened, we just need to stop, be open and check that it's the case. This kind of teaching usually comes to the ones that area years on the path and did all the explorations, but still feel they are away from it. For newcomers he would give a different say. That has to be one of the most in your face absurdities ever witnessed. 1.45:" there is no non-dual understanding." My own experience is different though. The deep non-dual understanding has been the major factor in finding inner peace. We are all aspects or manifestations of a single indivisible whole or reality.Our sense of separation,of individuality ,is due to an illusion. There is only a total functioning of the manifest consciousness and there is no individual entity. All happens by itself, including the idea of being a doer. That's all.

The Absolute is neither dualistic nor non-dualistic. “We are all manifestations of a single reality” (as compared to separate realities) still represents dualism, as does all knowledge which defines “this not that.” Nonduality begins where knowledge ends, since all knowledge is inherently dualistic. Only in silence, beyond mind, beyond knowledge, will nondual awareness make itself recognizable to the apparently localized self.

For sure. To be fair you don't "need" to meditate or do self-inquiry, etc, but there sure do help the process. It's like an analogy I came up with. Say you want to visit a temple. You can take a car or a bus or take a plane to get to the temple, but in order to actually enter the temple you can only walk inside. The same is true with spiritual practices. You can meditate, do shadow work, take spiritual medicine, but ultimately you have to identify with presence. That is only ever the last step to awakening.

I disagree in the sense the general person who dont have any knowledge abt spiritual seperate self without undergoing some methods or techniques to understand nature of mind then to know the inner silence it just not happen as such as we understand by saying 'BE PRESENT'.

That what you want, you already have. Allow it to be. Not giving attention to your thoughts is one way to stay present. Being present is the key. and one way to get there is meditation. Ruperts explanation is a bit lacking.

Its just one way - I feel Rupert answers questions according to the state of mind of the questioner, he would probably put it differently to someone else. People are all at different places in their understanding,

Rupert makes “concessions” depending on the person he is communicating with. Such is the lack of language that is unable to adequately describe reality.

Rupert is so down and dismissive , and , frankly, disrespectful to the countless people through the ages who have found meditation extremely helpful , and in many cases , life transforming. If he was saying just that you do not need to meditate to realise non duality ( whatever the hell that is ). That would be one thing. But he kind of just dismisses it out of hand. Apparently you do'nt have to do or realise or understand anything ??!!!! So , i do"nt know why all these people do'nt save their thousands of pounds, and stay at home with a glass of nice wine , and stroke the cat. Maybe watch the garden grow.

He’s speaking only to the woman who asked the question, evidently perceiving that, for her, these concepts and activities are obstacles.

@@pheryadThe video can be useful in case there are other people who can identify with the woman in their processes. It's been very useful in my case, for example. There are as many apparent paths as humans.... 🙏

Meditation and spiritual practice are for stubborn, arrogant people who cling to their concepts and refuse to make things easy for themselves out of pride. Its good to be dismissive and shatter their illusions. It may be uncomfortable at first, but you know whats more uncomfortable? 50 years of your legs falling asleep trying to follow your breath or repeat some stupid mantra
