I am 38 and my skin is pretty "normal" with no dryness or particular oily areas. I do have early signs of aging like fine lines/texture, as well as some sun damage and REDNESS!
I don't use fake tan, but I get very tan naturally in the summer as I have an olive undertone so my face is often a LOT lighter than my body, because I keep my face very well protected to keep my melasma under control and signs of aging at bay!

Makeup addiction is a real issue and should be addressed, there needs to be awareness and accountability or atleast a disclaimer at the beginning of KZbin videos, just like this Charlotte - to say, “you do not need this”. I understand that KZbinrs are paid to promote products sometimes and being honest about a product can mean the loss of backing from a brand, but we all really appreciate your honesty Charlotte. Makeup addiction isn’t discussed but we all know that we’re on the scale of addictive behaviour with makeup, we all have atleast 10 blushes, right? I got sad as I watched, sitting at my makeup vanity, staring down my new Makeup by Mario palette that I got suckered into and will be going back. It’s way warmer than expected and my new ND palette is so much better! As for the mantras, my faves are we do not go into debt (like using Klarna) for makeup and we do not pay double on EBay!

You’re spot on about the VBB fragrances. I did buy the Discovery set which comes with a code for $30 (£26) off if you go on to purchase a full size bottle and I’m not even going to bother. They don’t last, or project, and actually the fragrances are a bit disappointing too - particularly the Suite 302 which on the dry down smells like I’ve stuck my nose in a pack of Marlboro! Save your money folks!

Regarding the Victoria Beckham fragrance, there are actually free scent cards available. If you do opt for the discovery set, it comes with a gift card for the purchase amount, to apply to the purchase of a full sized bottle. After sampling all three fragrances, I feel like this is a case of buying the 'brand' instead of the product. If these fragrances were from any other house and in any other packaging, I'd hate them. The marketing is brilliant, but in the end the scents are incredibly pedestrian. There are more complex and (this is key) more balanced blends out there... meaning the dry-down makes sense and the fragrance itself isn't trying so hard to be unique. Plus, since you mentioned it, these actually do stay on your skin for a very long time. But because they smell - well - like they smell, that's not necessarily a flex. The overall presentation is conceptually grand, but ultimately disappoints.

The brown mascara I use is $1. It is a nice formula that also comes in black, green, blue, and purple. I will never spend a ton of money on mascara, when I throw it away every six months. In case anyone is curious, it is AOA studios wisp mascara from Miss A. I don't understand paying through the nose for luxury products.

We do cross country in the fall (usually chilly and wet) and this year I finally figured out why. The weather was unusually hot, summer weather when the kids did it last week and they had to call an ambulance for several kids that dropped from heat stroke running 5K in the hot, humid temperatures.

My PE teacher was akin to Miss Trunchball, so no makeup there! My French teacher (Mme. Towers) was the eyeshadow QUEEN.. she matched the colour of her eyeshadow to her tights!!. Re PMG quints ... last year the formula was out of this world. Seriously, Bronze Bliss is ah-mazing. Like molten sparkle velvet goodness. I have stopped getting PMG stuff but some creators have already reviewed the new quints and apparently the formula is also amazing this year, so I will pick these up - but on sale or for half price on ebay (just picked up a back up Bronze Bliss for half price.) And I have resisted since the launch. My rule - if you want it a month later, it might jut be worth hunting for it on sale 😄

I bought Makeup by Mario Ethereal palette when it was re-released because when it first came out I assumed it would come out in the UK eventually. When it didn't and everyone was saying it was discontinued, but it was still on his website, I hoped against hope it would be released again for Black Friday or similar. I am thrilled with it!

What a ride that was! I saw that Tom Ford highlighter. My stomach dropped. It was love. Then literally a minute later, I decided Charlotte is right. I don't need it. That Chanel highlighter sounds very intriguing though.

That palette of pink made me think of Pepto Bismol, which made me feel queasy. There should be a law against that-my eyes felt quite violated 😂👀

LOL, I FOMO'd and bought the Ethereal Eye Shadow Palette---because.....hear me out----I wanted it so much last year, had it in my cart and hesitated. I wanted to buy it for myself for Christmas. When I was finally ready to click "check-out", it was sold out as was the All Mattes Palette. I don't splurge too much on myself but I really wanted this palette---so, I did hit the 'check-out' button this time. No regrets....yet! (I haven't used it yet LOL). I don't own Natasha, Pat McGrath or any of those eyeshadow Palettes (Pat's blush and bronzer though, love them, bought them on sale!)..... it's my only 'fancy' palette. (but I do buy a Hourglass palette every year (except last year, I hesitated) cuz I love them!). I did buy a Nars Cheek Palette (afterglow)-----In May when it was a last change offer (how funny is it that they still have it available), so it was on sale and they had a discount on top of that. It is beautiful. It had the Exhibit A color, which I LOVE!!!! And you are right, I'll never use it up but I do reach for it as the shades are perfect for my skin tone. I think you are hilarious and so correct about these fantastical make up launches. I love these videos and your take on it and am always here for it!!!!

I have the ND I need a nude palette and originally missed out on the mario one. When I picked up the mario one to compare it, I wasn't really satisfied with it even though the size is more preferable to me. I ended up returning it since it wasn't worth it, as I have been enjoying the ND palette more.

I just picked up the Mario ethereal palette because I love the I need a nude palette so much but it is way too big for travel, and this is a similar color story in a more compact case. I didn’t get it the first time because I actually did not like the sparkly shades because they’re was so much fallout. I think I may just take the Natasha I need a nude shadows and pop them into an empty makeup forever palette to take them with me for travel. I like those mattes so much. And I have several urban decay moondust shadows and it’s better than the Mario wet shades. I think that is the answer after watching a ton of videos about it. You’re right, very mixed review but most were a bit negative. Thanks for talking sense into us!

Charlette i needed this !! I have to watch you before Sephora sale even. Unless it a brow product i know i will run out of ... something practical...I am terrible about Loving Lipsticks and Maximizer from Dior, so I had to have a little talk with myself ❤

Absolutely!!!! WHY DID WE DO CROSS COUNTRY EVER? (not shouting at you honestly). I did buy one of the Pat McGrath Bijoux but that's because I had never tried a Pat McGrath product and I wanted to dip my toe in the water. I have to say, Oh my word, it is glorious and the most amazing quality. I have also purchased I Need a Nude because I really really needed a Nude. So there you go.
