Better to be lighter than darker! You can easily fix lighter. Darker would be more difficult. And thank you for giving such great makeup tips. I've done so many of your tips the past years that make my makeup last longer. Which I need because I work 12.50 hours shifts.

Super cute look Allie. I used to love it when I'd get a small spattering of freckles as a teen and in college (back in the 80's when people still tanned with no worries). However, I just don't know if I like the concept of faux freckles because I'm not sure how natural they come across.

I love the ELF soft glam foundation. I really think I’m going to get rid of most of my other foundations. I also love the Tarte concealer. I also use Fiera concealer but I think when I run out I will stick with the Tarte. I like it better than Shape Tape.

Hi there. Going to Hawaii soon and I’ll have my facial sunscreen on but want to put a little concealer/skin tint to cover cheek redness. I will be looking for a spray sunscreen preferably mineral to touch up. Do you have suggestions on what you use? I saw a review saying the shades were darker than the names would imply. Did you find that to be the case?

@@catetanenbaum2418 Personally, I have not found that to be the case. I own 2 shades, 11 Fair Neutral and 13 Fair Neutral. I think the swatches on the Elf website appear slightly darker than the actual shades. I bought shade 11 first and while I can make it work, it is lighter than I thought. Shade 13 is actually a better match for me.

@@deanna0316 very little coverage, clung to dry patches, nothing layered well on top. And the shades are so odd, like there are a lot of them but just strange undertones that don't match me. But I have that issue with all elf foundations I've found.

I didn’t love it either, but I ought to give it another chance (maybe sheered out with a damp beauty blender this time). The foundation seems kind of dry and thick to me, and YES-the shades are odd I think! The undertones seem off to me… I have other ELF concealer/coverage products, and they match my skin tone in lightest shade (I have extremely fair skin with neutral-warm undertones).

I hate the Huda beauty powder . My skin is normal . That powder breaks me out every single time. Both my daughter and I have tried it so many times but have thrown out 2 full powders.. I am team Laura for the last 20 years. Nothing is better in my opinion. I know many people are team Givenchy and really upset they messed theirs up - I am scared that Laura will discontinue the normal one - the newer one blurring is “ok” but not the same as the OG

i just don’t get the hype for the elf soft glam- i find it awful, very matt not satin finish, with or without primer (elf liquid poreless -even worse!) i have to use the flawless filter to give it some life, shade range although comprehensive looking once you try to find a light/fair cool undertone you have 2 choices which are for me too light 14 or 20 boarderline on orange - otherwise shades in the range are very yellow or orange ! - i find it settles in to every crease or pore ! unfortunately really life doesn’t exist with filters, post production adjustments or extreme blown out lighting! .. (it’s giving poreless manequine Tati (! because on me any everyone else i know who’s tried it - hard no .. but we do have pores in our skin - i was expecting it to be the hype .. not even the sticky power grip setting spray could save it (❤ how fine the mist on this is!)

I kinda have the same problem with her channel and some other youtubers' (Kathleen Lights for example, as much as i adore her personality) videos😩 Don't get me wrong i like both of these channels and the content is great but when you can't really see how the products actually look on their face it's pretty frustrating and well, not useful for the viewer. I don't think it's any filters though but more about the lighting being so bright it washes off everything...and maybe the type of camera quality that kind of "blurs" & softens and being quite far away from the camera as opposed to some other creators who are really up close so you can see everything much clearer🤔
