Hey! If you're a new or soon to be parent, you might feel overwhelmed by all the baby items you're going to be told you need. The truth is: there are a lot of things you don't need for your baby. This video is all about common baby items you can skip! Some of these items, I purchased or was gifted and realized there was no need for them and others I just never got and haven't missed them. Yes we definitely didn’t need that changing table! We were always in the living room area so it was not feasible to keep going back to the bedroom. We did have a small basic swing. I think it was $60! It was good while we used it. But not at all a must have. My child was “behind” according to most. He crawled later, walked later, and talked later than any other baby I knew. It doesn’t mean anything! He’s 11 now and on the superintendents honor roll. So let your babies go at their own pace!

@@jamiestanley9234 that is definitely why I love the little changing mat!! We only just recently got a dresser that doubles as a changing table, but my son’s 1. Love that you let your son progress at his own pace without so much pressure ❤️❤️

It’s so easy to get caught up in what your baby or child “should” be doing. Even now I see it with parents as their kids get older. Sometimes I want to tell everyone around us to slow down and just enjoy the stage you child is in.

Those are great tips. However, I did get a portable noise machine. Maybe it'll be good for portability such as moving around rooms & car rides. Easier and faster to access. I'm a FTM mom though so idk lol.

Ohh love that! Totally agree that some type of white noise is really helpful so that could definitely be a good option as opposed to a more expensive sound machine 🙂
