Like having gay characters with the first same sex kiss to air before the 9pm watershed. That was early 90s when I was still in juniors but I remember it and I remember my mum explaining that it was OK to be gay. That was forward thinking back then.

Nancy being a mandatory reporter is something everyone else obviously forgot about. But this is a child, a child in Nancy's care no less, even if she wasn't a mandatory reporter there's no way she'd risk Frankie's or her own kids's continued safety by starting quiet. And her apologizing for not noticing and acknowledging Frankie's pain. Beautiful. Darren and Frankie at the police station was absolutely heartbreaking but both are doing stellar jobs covering such a heavy storyline. The family coming together to support Frankie but accepting her wish to not dwell. I knew JJ was going to spin it. I knew it. And I can't help but wonder if Suzanne is convinced of his guilt but will continue to blame Frankie. Probably say she seduced him. Such a despicable woman. I'd love to see Nancy put her in her place.

I live in the US and I’ve never seen this series but I wish it would come to the US. I really really really like this because it helps people understand they’re not alone in this situation as I was I was 11 and my brother-in-law sexually assaulted me I had nowhere to turn as he used my sister to hold me to my guilt saying we can’t tell your sister because we love her and we don’t want to hurt her and this might hurt her if she knew I was 11 and my big sister is 12 years older than me to to this day She does not fully believe that he did it. He’s dead now and she’s in her 70s I’m in my 60s. I will go to my grave feeling like she never really believed me and it hurts a lot when I know she knew who this man was she was married to him for over 14 years, she knew what he was capable of she has made reference to sexual situations in their marriage to me personally trying to make up for “the guilt” she feels… but she has never ever not one time said I’m sorry this happened to you! When they divorced, he remarried and his new wife had a 14-year-old daughter. What do you want to guess happened? !! and she knew about it. My sister knew because she was told by her daughter-in-law who visited the family one year

I don't think Frankie would ever be ready to tell the truth and this affects Nancy's future. Someone else had to take control of the situation because everyone was stuck and didn't know what to do for the best. Maybe Nancy did the wrong thing for the right reason, just like Frankie previously to protect herself. Darren has been great for Frankie but didn't want to betray her trust and tell Nancy or go to the police. Nancy worked it out for herself and chose the best way to help Frankie.
