Hello Kaden 👋 love this place where you and your family camped at! How beautiful the red rocks....such beautiful scenery what a lovely view for sunsets and to wake up too as well. Too bad you didn't meet up with your friends, but at least you weren't alone you had your family there with you. Your burgers 🍔 looked good! 👍 Thanks for sharing this wonderful find, it's beautiful!! On to your next destination/adventure. Happy trails my friend. 🚙

Hello Kaden! I love to camp and meet up with friends as well! When we meet up with friends, we use walkie talkies to signal each other. The walkie talkies do not have to be from the same set. You just need to be on the same channel and within range. Hope this helps next time!

Yes! I did have my GMRS on the same frequency as the group but we never got any comms over it unfortunately. Thanks for watching!

Not sure if you are aware but the Skotti grill with lava rocks added is a way better fire pit than the Ignik. Oh, and get the propane adapter so you can attach a propane tank.
@Kadenventures4 ай бұрын
I had no idea, I’ll have to give that a shot! I actually have a propane adapter for the Tembo Tusk I just need to remember to bring it for the Skotti next time lol thanks for watching!

I love that place. But having 77 year old kidneys, I was seriously disappointed when they got rid of the outhouses at the little parking area where I usually park to hike.
@Kadenventures4 ай бұрын
Yea! i'm surprised for a National Monument they got rid of all amenities but the road going in LOL! Your think they'd have funding for at least ONE outhouse going into the monument

Do you really enjoy cooking? I notice that you always bring at least something that needs to be cooked. The longer I camp, the less inclined I am to cook... especially now that I have downsized from a GMC Acadia to a Chevy Trax and bringing my hulking "kitchen" bin is more difficult! The collapsible sink, the stove, the gas, the pans, dishes, seasonings, cutting board, dish soap and rags, a cooler....so much stuff! These days I usually pack a small bag with items like protein bars, dry cereal, apples and pb+j sandwiches. I have LOVED having less to haul around, less to wash up, and more time for my favorite camping activities! But if I enjoyed cooking, then I probably would try to make it work.
@Kadenventures3 ай бұрын
I actually do really enjoy cooking (while at camp or at home)! Somedays more somedays less where i'm feeling like something easy. I've gotten used to packing up and having relatively minimal gear for the truck (depends on the adventure though, if i'm by myself i'll have less but if the wifey is with me and depending on what we are doing i'll have a bit more stuff). Luckily I have a good amount of space in the back of the truck but I try to pack everything in its place to keep the clutter down and organized. We have a good system for unpacking the truck as well where everything has a place in the garage which helps a ton, i'm pretty much able to pack or un-pack the truck within less than 15 minutes. Camping is whatever you make it, if you enjoy certain aspects more so than others then by all means do what makes you happiest, I do love me some PB&J sammies from time to time as well :) thanks for watching!

Hi kaden Are you still using the dometic fridge? Would you recommend it?
@Kadenventures4 ай бұрын
Yes I do still use it! It’s been working well, I do recommend it but it was a bit pricey ($850 when I bought it) if your looking for something a bit cheaper id check out IceCo which I’ve heard good things, there r a lot more vendors these days making compatible fridges 👌🏽

Give me some tips on the skotti grill I bought one but it flairs up on anything I put on the grill ,I even turn it down low and it still flairs up ,I gave up on this grill ,by the way great video
@Kadenventures4 ай бұрын
The first time I used it I didnt get a lot of flare ups on it (I think bec the meat I was cooking wasnt as oily or fatty) this time around the burger was pretty fatty so I felt like I was cooking Burger king Burgers with a flame broil lol! I kept things moving on the grill though so it doesnt burn (similar to the Tembo Tusk Skottle), that is probably my best suggestion with using it and keeping the heat low esp with it flaring up. As I keep playing around with it ill let you know if I figure out any more tips/tricks with it

Okay, I liked your videos. But why do I need to download the map?I OVERLAND and i go in very remote places. never never download any map from google or Apple Maps. Because when you started the map when you have signal is just go and take you there.Correct me if I am wrong.
@davids82674 ай бұрын
That’s not how it works. Google maps allows you to download maps for situations in which signals are lost. A lot of places encourage map downloads in case of a major emergency in which cell service is lost
@Kadenventures4 ай бұрын
Yes - google or apple will show you your destination when you get out there BUT when your finished and end the route (in an area with no signal), Google will not have signal to route you to your next destination. OR say for example you change your mind and decide to go elsewhere mid route, when you end your original mapping there is no signal to route you to your new destination. That is the biggest issue, you can get there with no issue but when you try to leave or go elsewhere you will run into issues with directions if Google has no internet to re-route you. Hope this helps, thanks for watching Judy
@Kadenventures4 ай бұрын
I always download maps esp in areas like this where I know there is no signal, it will make your life much better while your out there lol Thanks David!
