Wow...mix Ethel Waters with Ruth Etting...she's a fine singer!💖 And it's a pleasure to hear early Goodman.🤗

What a beautiful label! 🤩 Love this plaintive song, and lovely songbird, Grace Johnson! Very talented but underrated flapper singer!! 🤩 I have a few Royola labels in my record collection too! My treasures. Did you know they came in different color combos too?! I have a beautiful marroon one and green one. Thankyou for sharing; Is that clarinet Benny Goodman?!! Somebody hot. 😀

Thanks benzo! I made mention of the variations, I hope to one day soon post some of the ones I recorded! Benny Goodman is the clarinet player in this! Robert had this in his collection! A Lazy Country Lane is on the flip!

You did an amazing job on that label, I love it. As for this performance, it is outstanding as well! Benny Goodman's clarinet is precious whereas Grace Johnston's vocal was elegant and refined. Too bad she is so poorly known today. Thank you very much for sharing!

Thank You so much! This was the first record I ever heard by Grace, and I Fell in love with the record and her! I am looking for a original copy of it! But it is indeed a very obscure one at that!

Gee, you almost had me there, thinking it was a label i'd not heard of! Nice graphical work there! Now all you have to do is produce your own acoustic and electric records with local dance bands and take the record in a different direction! Nice record, by the way!

Thank You so much Martin! I used to love drawing these record labels, and seeing one in black and gold as well as other color combinations for the first time was a fun experience, I have made my own records using this same label, and will post some soon, they are not quite as good as the original recording Transcription disc I took them from, I have to figure a few things out adjusting the treble, they are a tad tinny and sometimes have too much bass! LOL! but it is fun to make them! I also pasted some on records with ruined labels. I used to use Apollo dubs, then the company burned down to the ground in 2020! So that made it where I made my own disc out of junk records and automotive paint! Sometimes it worked and sometimes it was a disaster! As for the Recording, I LOVE Grace Johnston, and this is the first record I ever heard by her! I LOVE it!
