So very cute Lindsay. I just love watching you play and create. I don't have a gelli plate and that's just as well since I don't have the available space to work with. It's just like you said with your Scan and Cut, if you don't keep it out and accessible you'll never use it. That same idea goes for any crafty tools you have, if you have to dig through drawers or boxes to find something, you'll never use it. Anyway, thanks for letting me live vicariously through you. You definitely are a joy to watch and listen to. Thank you so much. Take care young lady and God bless you and yours. Sincerely Becky B from Arkansas

I really enjoy watching the gel press videos you make, mainly to get new ideas, but also because I don't have the mess. I usually save the gel printing for camping where I have all the great outdoors to clutter up. Having said all that, in the long run I might have used the original piece for a stencil but, well in real life probably not. You, Ms Lindsay are a very good sport!

I have laughed throughout this video. Yesterday I had my two friends back over for card making. Now they have decided that they want to do this once a month. I ended up buying an extra banquet table this morning at Menards for all this crafting. What did I get myself into?? They also want to make shaker cards. What?? I have no laminator and no transparency sheets. Now what?? My local big box doesn't carry them either. We did manage to get cards made yesterday. Have a great rest of the week. Sometimes we just need to step back and laugh. I did.

This was great 😊 Really made me wish I had some paper reindeer shaped holes. 😂 I did actually cut out a bunch of ornaments from a gel print a few days ago; don’t think I threw it out yet. I’ll have to see if something can be done with it. On the subject of “don’t throw that away !” I actually made the plastic rings that hold six packs together look really good. I covered the plastic in alcohol ink and then cut it up into little pieces. I figured it’s good for shakers and who knows what else. It helps that I used glittery and metallic alcohol ink, because the plastic shards are really festive.

When I first started crafting together with my friend from across the road, she would always say "nooo, don't throw that out, we might need some tiny stars" or "you could still cut a snowflake from that scrap of paper" or "that might make a great stencil". Not anymore. Because I answered, "okay, let's keep it, how/where do you suggest I store it and how are you going to remember we have it when we are looking for just that?". So now we only keep "leftovers" when we know what the project will be or in case of scraps, if they are at long strips or at least 3" (roughly) square. The rest of the trash is simply that - trash. Of course your heroic approach due to public pressure turned out GRRREAT And I love the idea of using the one large sheet as wrapping paper and the matching darker version of the deer for tags. My gelly plate is small, so I could only create wrapping for rather small expensive gifts! :-)

There were some really cute finished projects in there, but mostly not my cup of tea. I am REALLY IMPRESSED that your Art Room (or whatever you call it) is apparently SOOO Organized that you can put your hands on all the various supplies you have used in this "Fun To Watch" video. I can't even get to the work space I used to enjoy working at, much less know where all my supplies are. My Darling Daughter thought she was going to do me a BIG Favor by reorganizing my Art Studio while I was gone for weeks after a major surgery and a physical therapy facility. At some point she got overwhelmed, and then just shoved everything back in. My organization was totally destroyed and, because of additional surgeries/hospitalizations, and me now by myself AND weaker in body, well, I guess you can figure out the rest!! BTW, I really like the glitter ric-rak!! Very Pretty!!

GLUE BOOGERS AND SMUDGES --the bane of my card-making existence! I can't tell you how much time I've spent erasing and/or camouflaging smudges that will not be gone and sticky dirty little glue boogers that won't budge from my cards. I am a bit fastidious about my card backs (and all) being clean, so if I can't remove the oops, I will usually, ever so lightly, swirl or circle around a stamp pad in a matching color over the paper surface. This usually works and looks ok. I too struggle with what to do with those beautiful negative shapes left from die cutting or punching, especially if the paper is a good quality. I set mine aside, mostly, and hope I'll get inspired! Thanks for sharing your great solution!
@angelashock98373 жыл бұрын
Do you have a glue eraser? I got mine from the Dollar Tree. It,s a light brown textured rubber square found in the Crafters Square/Crafts section. Works wonders in removing “glue boogers”. A mono sand eraser can get rid of ink smudges too. Like a cross between an eraser and sand paper. Only works on light smudges though.

Gel press? I'd love to know more about that. I bought about 30 house mouse gelly like stamps on a plastic film. I bought acrylic blocks in the largest to small sizes and I don't know what ink to use on them. I'd like to stamp each mouse's outfit with different coloured ink. Or do I just use alcohol markers for that?? Secondly, What system can I buy thats affordable under $100 for cardmaking and crafting? I have a fiskars 12" plus paper cutter. I just hate fussy cutting. I need a decent pair of scissors just for that. I dont use a laptop, I have a newer phone. It was $1500 new just last year. So it has all the bells and whistles an android would have.
