Past Lindsay was awesome, yes, but current Lindsay is too I must say! Leave it to you to bust out the old supplies and make cards that are ten times prettier than what everyone else is making with the non-stop deluge of new releases from every paper crafting company on the planet (especially now that it's, apparently, "Stamptember"!). These cards turned out beautifully. I would LOVE to see more card making videos from you! Thanks for sharing this lovely tutorial. 👍💖

We have a pair of hummingbirds, and when we are refilling the feeders that hang above the corners of the deck, the female will actually come hover and look in the French doors as if she is making sure we are refilling and bringing the feeders back lol. They are such neat birds! I love having them about all summer. Sadly, they will probably be leaving us for warmer weather soon.

Isn't that fun!! I saw one on the ground after getting my nails done one day. Poor thing was up against the building, I was afraid it might get stepped on. So I tried to see if I could somehow get it up off the ground and to safety. I thought maybe it was learning to fly. The people inside the nail salon came out to see what I was doing, and they brought me 2 pieces of paper to try scooping it up. But it hopped on to my hip. OK. So it just perched there clinging to my shirt, I moved closer to a little tree and at least it was off the ground and able to look around. I took a couple of pictures of it. Then it flew away. Seemed oK. Another time (I'm trying to grow some plants on my patio, had a lemon tree and strawberries both with flowers), and I looked out there one morning and saw a hummingbird visiting them. So nice! Surprised it was able to even find that I had plants. It always seems like such a treat to see one or have them visit you

Hummingbird feeders: those little guys can be so demanding! I actually purchased double feeders so I could immediately replace the empty feeders while I clean them. They still chatter at me like crazy when I go near them to change them out and I have to tell them to get over themselves because I went to the extra expense to buy 2x the feeders so they don’t have to wait for me to clean them LOL. I’m sure I’m known in the neighborhood as “the crazy old bird lady that lives on the corner” 😂 but at least I don’t have 17 cats!

You can use a dryer sheet under your hand to help your hand slide while rubbing across your stamp platform or block to give even pressure as you rub across it while stamping. It gives you even pressure all over the block or platform

Right up my alley! I made my first card the Christmas right after my son was born. That was 46 yrs ago. I haven't stopped yet. I am wanting a scan and cut so bad, but can't fit it into my budget!! Thanks for the tips. Loved all the cards!! 👍😁
@thefrugalcrafter3 жыл бұрын
I paid $250 for mine 4 years ago on black Friday from Joann.com and I think home shopping had a similar price at the time. It's a scan n cut 2 model CM350. Im not sure if it's still available but I figured it was about the cost of 10-15 die sets and I have thousands of stamps.
@sondrabrown4423 жыл бұрын
I love your tip to color the space in the background, where the scan and cut didn’t cut, to match your background card stock. I’m not very skilled with my scan and cut so all those tips are so helpful! Thanks Lindsay! When my oldest moved out I had to paint his room and put new flooring in. Partly because it needed it, but mostly because I would cry every time I looked at it. It’s a hard change for a mom when her kids move out, but you did your job well!

These are beautiful cards! You can never go wrong with hummingbirds in my opinion! I became an empty nester in Feb. this year and basically did what your doing. Lots of cleaning & getting rid of stuff that I had held on to for years, Then repainting rooms after deciding what to use them for. The tricky part has come more recently. Finding motivation to do something other than sit after years of running everyone around.

@@thefrugalcrafter Me too! They were the Cadillac of rubber stamps--the amazing artwork, the thick beveled, deeply etched die cut rubber, the equally thick rubber cushion, to the quality varnished maple wood mount. No one makes them like PSX! Some of the PSX stamps I have are over 30 years old and still good as new. I had always hoped that with the popularity of the stamps and the prices they fetch second hand, someone would buy the line and equipment and remanufacture them, but that hasn't happened unfortunately.
