Our local police station is built on a hill. The drug squad offices were on top of a half basement, level with the pavement uphill. Anyway, the drugs guys raided a friend's grow, popped him in the cells, took all the evidence up to the office to be documented. They thought as it was such a good bust, they'd go up to The Police Social Club Bar for a few celebratory bevvies. Meanwhile, another bunch of guys I knew, drive past the drugs squad office, and see the bonanza in there. They whistled up a guy with a seven and half tonner, and a long ladder. To cut a long story short, all of the evidence, goes straight back through the open windows. It was a very hot summers day, to give the drugs guys a sort of dubious figleaf. Bit of a result all around, I might have been, or not, the driver of the seven and a half. Fortunately long before cctv and all that jazz. Thinking about it, about five years prior to first ones going up.

These scenes are my everyday fears. The company we have a contract to deliver to their stores for increased the number of stores so much that the pallets we have to deliver with a mechanized pallet jack (about 900 pounds) are 7 foot high and weigh 1-2 tons each - using a liftgate and trying to move on uneven parking lots. The corporate folks have never been out in the real world - which is made with concrete floors that are perfectly level. They think 14 pallets will fit into a 30 foot straight truck. Well, they will, but JUST the pallets. Still need the pallet jack.
