About the band:
AnnenMayKantereit (occasionally shortened AMK)
AMK are a German rock band founded in Cologne in 2011. Their songs are predominantly performed in German, but the band also occasionally publishes cover songs in English.

The three founding members, whose surnames make up the band name (Christopher Annen - guitar, Henning May - vocals, Severin Kantereit - drums), met during their school days. Initially, the three of them were street musicians in Cologne. They always have other musicians playing music with them.

Then they join Giant Rooks in the 2nd room. YOU SHOULD check out AMK'S covers in English COME TOGETHER, ROXANNE, SPRINGSTEENS IM ON FIRE, NEIL YOUNGS THE NEEDLE AND THE DAMAGE DONE, JUSTON TIMBERLAKE'S CRY ME A RIVER CANT GET YOU OUT OF MY HEAD, AND AMY WINEHOUSE'S VALERIE WHICH IS A DUET WITH NATALIE FINDLEY. ALL GREAT. It's very impressive. I've listened to some originals in German then looked up English lyrics. Henning has the best voice ive heard since Eddie Vedder, Scott Weiland and the singer for the band LIVE (Throwing Copper cd ) ba k in the 1990's. Enjoy.

Ohhhh I just found AMK, and I'm so glad others are finding them too! Totally agree on the accent - I'm 100% sure if they decided to go fully English they'd be SO famous by now. Henning's voice is something else for sure.
