Potts Mountain is such an amazing trail that flies under the radar. Not as hard as Holy Cross but definitely challenging enough to make it interesting.

So far my favorite trails to run are around the Newaygo County area beautiful scenery and great riding trails for beginners for sure

15:00 the only dedicated trails I’ve run were all at Windrock, but I’d like to check some of these out for sure!

I’m hoping to do Windrock again this summer! We went a few years back but broke my Jeep on day two. I need redemption!

I ran holy cross in my CJ 22 years ago and it was great. Try to make it down to Llano, Texas for the Texas Spur jamboree and we will show you how much fun it is to wheel Texas granite. I also recommend Wolf Caves and K2 off road parks for granite. Bring the JK though, it’s much less likely to high center.

I definitely think the JT could handle Drummond, however, it’s relatively close and I don’t mind taking the JKU up there. The shorter wheelbase definitely helps on some of the tighter trails.

I have done black bear Imogene and Poughkeepsie. Black bear was my top bucket list trail ever z but, but I fear it might not open again. I did also love Poughkeepsie more than Imogene. As for holy Cross I have a 21 jlu Rubicon on 35s and I wouldn't try that without a winch , 2 more inches of clearance and full metal cloak skids. It's a doozie. But our build is an overland one not a rock crawler so it's super heavy and a bit tippier

Poughkeepsie was a very close second for me with all the badge trails in the San Juans. Imogene was more picturesque. Holy Cross was definitely an exciting trail but I may have bitten off more than I could chew with it because I had to winch a lot! We did half of black bear last year but the telluride side was still snowed in. Maybe one day we will be able to do the entire trail!

Ya it is definitely a trail that used to be not as bad as it is now. It is one I want the badge for badly but am intimidated by. You pretty much need a 3 inch lift and 37a anymore. That's why I am super glad that we did it when it was open. If you've ever seen the Colorado mallcrawers video on black bear , I was the grey Cherokee trailhawk in the video. Imogene was more scenic absolutely but the wall, and getting up to it, plus the area above it up to lake Como, I thought was more satisfying to me but also I wanted to do the wall super badly as a bucket list thing too

@seanwatson3790 all good points! Honestly, I enjoyed driving Poughkeepsie more as it was more challenging. However, the ruins, views, and experience was amazing. They both are top notch trails!
