@titaniumquarrion98385 жыл бұрын
@@donewhiskey "They destroy everything".... Really? Over exaggerate much mate? What are they damaging exactly the sand or the branches encroaching on the tracks? The camping trailers getting around would contribute a fraction of the total "damage" the thousands of 4WDs are doing every year. People like you had want to be careful because if you start whining about environmental damage from trailers next the lefty SJWs will jump on board and it'll be 4WD bans from many areas as well. The reality is most people towing don't venture far off-road or onto technical terrain and if they do they take it very carefully. The only idiots I have seen with zero clue or skill spinning wheels and bulldozing trees etc are idiots (normally Gen Y) not towing....

You guys nearly melting through the table reminded me of something that happened when I was a kid. My dad was prepping a mighty feast of some good steaks and had already prepped the charcoal chimney to get the grill going. He asked my mom to go and get it lit because he was nearly done prepping everything. She went and lit it and came back in the house no problem. Then my dad and I carried a couple trays of food out to the grill to find that she lit the chimney while it was sitting on the plastic prep area on the side of the grill and it melted straight through until it stopped at the metal wire frame underneath. My dad could do nothing but laugh and that grill stayed like that with a melted hole on one side for the next 10 years until we finally junked it when it got too rusted out. Good times though!

I know it was a while ago, But watching this episode on Fraser, Inskip Point is a piece of cake if you have your tyre pressures right. I towed a camper trailer there in July 2021, 18 psi in the 02 Hilux and the trailer. We also had no probs on the island, going down to 14 psi at Ngala Rocks, just had to wait for all the bogged vehicles in front of us to sort themselves out.

This must be one of my favorites, because I've already watched it three times! Great job under very adverse conditions. That's part of the fun, though! When you came upon that fallen tree, did no one have a folding saw, pocket chainsaw or electric chainsaw? I always carry a folding saw in my recovery gear and often a pocket chainsaw (those chainsaw blades with handles) rolled up in the glove box or somewhere else that it's easily accessible. They are very small and very handy, for these situations. I live in an area with tall trees and a sand base, so we see a lot of fallen trees. I'm too cheap for a chainsaw, when a little sweat will do the job. Edited to add that the Sparesbox crew are awesome. Include them in future videos!
