I'm 36. I have lived/worked on farms my whole life until this past April. I now work at a construction company. The benefits are really good but there's alot of days I miss farming. That's why I enjoy each and every video you do

Andy, I learn something from almost all your video's. Refusal Feed... My first thought it was rejected feed however it appears you have to overfeed the cows so they produce maximum milk. It also talked about pH balance in the rumen which appears to be the first stomach in a cow. Most interesting... Take care

On another video a city slicker said farming was easy because of modern equipment and GPS. I told him to watch your KZbin channel to see how easy farming is. My grandfather was a farmer and his brother (Uncle Felix) was a dairy farmer. I would go the dairy farm in the winter during Christmas break for a week. It was a 40 minute drive to Uncle Felix’s place, we would get there around 8:00 and get home by 6:30. I was never so tired in my life when we got home and I was happy to go back to school. I believe I was about 11 years old then. Uncle Felix had an accident near the silo unloading a wagon into the hopper which shot the corn into the top of the silo. His overalls got stuck in the PTO shaft. he was rushed to the hospital but passed the next morning. “farming is easy” BS, try being a dairy farmer. And by the way the cows do not take the weekends off. Every day, twice a day.

Gotta love the "Milk" life! You have done a day's work before the construction crew starts a "days" work, and I am not critical of them at all. And you finish up long after they have left. Great looking herd, the good management shows. I have a thousand questions about your operation, but I will settle for just watching your videos, and eventually get some answered.👍👍

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, ideas and videos. Been a while since i saw how big your farm is. Certainly is impressive. Glad to see where the milk I buy comes from. On a side note, I really enjoy the Tom Pemberton channel from the UK with their family dairy and butcher shop. Like to think they have a decent sized farm but your several levels or more up from them. Are you aware of any beef farms that sell directly to the consumer in the CNY area. Wishing you and your family the best.

The 59.5 is a lot of (hay)... Money... Fascinating. I grew up on a hand milking Michigan dairy farm earlier in my life. We had a well house and put the milk cans in a cold water cement box. I wasn't sad to see the cows go. Although it's easy to be attached. I liked the crop farming. Godspeed.
