I’m amazed, it’s actually working, it’s mapping now, I was just sure it wouldn’t work, it’s a refurbished robot but it looks brand new, I named it Kelly after my Chocolate lab, RIP Kelly. Kelly lives again!! Thanks for the video, it helped a lot, well done and entertaining!

I’ve had my Roombaj7 for 2years now and I’ve just had nothing but problems with it for the last year. Yes, 1st year was great, but last 2nd year, just awful. I’ve kept it clean. Bought regular replacement parts but now days all it does is run out of power while it’s working. Other times it just loses connection with the WiFi and will not work. Then I’m advised by customer support to reboot the robot and the button will not even work to reboot or reset. You can’t even turn the bot off because there is no on off switch. $700.00 wasted in my opinion. It’s strange. Some people get a great working bot for years and others get a piece of crap! I will not buy another one of these P.O.S!

I believe iRobot moved the Mapping Run command to the Map. Tap the map pin icon, then the … icon, then Mapping Run.

Very helpful! I just got the J7 roomba but I’m not sure it’s charging right. It says when it’s charging it should be a “spiral white light”. When I place the roomba on/in the docking station. At first I see the spiral white light but as soon as I walk away or exit the app, the light goes off. If I go back to the app, the light goes back on after the device has connected. Is it still charging or should the light be continuous? I’m not 100% sure but it seems to be charging very slow. How long should it take to get a full charge? Thanks 🙏

So the J7 mop drips, turns, the vacuum sucks up the water bonding dust and water under the rollers. Is this a real design flaw?

My j7 clean base indicates the disposable bag is full when it isn’t. Suggestions?

Hi, thank you for all the information. I'm interested in what the J7 combo can do without the app and without ever connecting it to wifi. Would I still be able to choose between vacuum only and vac+mop mode? The user manual seems to suggest I would be able to do this by placing or removing the mop. Is this true? Also, does the object avoidance still work without mapping first (needs wi-fi)?
