The x on the headlights represents the tape that street racers would put on their headlights incase they tapped a wall or another car so the glass would still stay somewhat intact.

Their B48/58 engines are some of the most reliable modern engines on the market, so much so Toyota uses it in their supra. Old BMWs are unreliable, specially anything with N54 or N55 engines, powerful sure but garbage quality. On top of that most people are buying poorly maintained BMWs from 2012 and complain when something breaks. There is nothing more expensive than a used old BMW.
