I have a scar on my eyebrow from running too fast and hitting my head on the corner of a kitchen inlet when I was a kid. The weird part of the story is when my mom took me to the urgent care for it the doctor said he would leave to find someone qualified to stitch it, and then came back and said something like "I just remembered I am qualified to do this." Not something you'd normally like to hear, but it worked out well enough.

When I was 6 I had to get heart surgery because I have an irregular heartbeat. Now I have a scar on my chest. But it doesn't end there. When I was 14 I had brain surgery because I had a cluster of veins and I had a slight bleed. So there's a huge scar from the middle of my head down to my ear. When I was a kid I went with my parents to a contracting job they had and the kids of the home owners wanted to show me their rabbits. They got one out and put it in my hand. The rabbit proceeded to bite my wrist causing me to drop it, then the rabbit peeling the skin of my wrist on its way down. Still have the scar to this day…

My scar story is also the story as to why I tell little kids to not run in the house. When I was six, I was running around my grandparents house. (The room layout was in a circle) and when I got to the dining room, I tripped, fell, and smacked my head square on the corner of a wooden chair. I was bleeding profusely, and had to get stitches. It was a decent sized hole. Still have the scar, right between my eyebrows.

Grindr is a dating/hook up app like Tinder but just for gay men. My scar story is growing up i had a scar on my forhead, and since i had messy hair usually and glasses, i was called Harry Potter fairly often lol. I got it when a kid in my neighborhood wanted to fight, so we met in a courtyard in the apartment complex he lived in, and started to try and grapple each other, but he suddenly moved and i lunged forward and hit my head on the wall behind him. At first i thought it just banged my head so i turned around to continue the fight, but him and everyone watching were jusy stunned. Then I finally moticed my forhead was gushing blood. He was actually so scared that that happened he ran inside and tried to find me a towel, so i always say i won that fight since he quit first lol.

I used to have a heart-shaped scar on one foot--it faded about eight years ago--from a friction burn I received when I ran on a treadmill barefoot. Meanwhile, I still have a couple scars on my right ring and pinky fingers from making a minor misjudgment of how and where to place my hand when leaping over a brick wall, and those scars might only be a few years fresher than the aforementioned heart-shaped scar. Besides that, I've had a few surgical scars from moles being removed, but those have all faded. On the one hand, I can say I've been lucky in screening for skin cancer, which runs rampant in my family, but on the other, much more frustrating hand, newer moles grew in mere inches from where the surgical scars had been. brb getting more surgical scars...

My scar story: I was around 12-14 (don't remember exactly). And I've decided to climb a tree, for the first time in my life. Didn't end well, obviously - fell with my back hitting a small stump. The impact punched all air out of my lungs, broke 2 bones in my left hand and left me with HUGE bruise and scar on my back. I think I should count myself lucky, as despite a very nasty fall, there was no long term damage, other than the scar (and even it has faded since then)

When I was 5 or so I was playing in the garden of my friend's house. They had bamboo (or at least I think it was that) and one of the shoots was lying on the ground. It was pretty big and I played around with it a bit until I had the glorious idea of sliding down the slide in the garden with the bamboo in hand. It got stuck in the ground because of how I was holding it and slices into my throat. So now I still have a scar on the right side of my throat.

Not an interesting scar, but a painful one: I was on vacation with my family and getting ready one morning at the hotel. My mom wanted to iron her outfit, but with no ironing board, she used my bed. I just got out of the shower and sat on my bed to put on my shirt when the iron tips over and the edge of it pressed against my back along my ribs. That happened when I was 18, and at 33, you can still see where it branded me.

In 2002, I had back surgery for scoliosis. I have a scar going the entire length of my torso and two titanium rods bolted down my spine to keep it straight. I fully recovered six months later. No issues or restrictions. The only time I even remember the surgery is when my back itches or if it gets too cold and the rods get cold, which is uncomfortable.

When i was in high school, i was on the swim team. I was one of the slower members, and was being put into a lane with people much faster than me. In order to keep up, i was given flippers. On the other side of things, there was another girl who decided to keep her smart watch on during practice since it was waterproof. At one point, we were swimming In opposite directions from each other, and our hands collided. Since she was such a strong swimmer (one of the faster swimmers on the team) and i was wearing flippers, making me artificially faster as well, when our hands collided, it instantly shattered the watch's screen. Upon reaching the wall, i took a look at my hand, and it looked like it had broken skin, but it wasn't too bad. I saw no blood. But i figured all that chlorine in an open wound was probably not good, so i swam over to where the coaches were, and showed them my hand. Immediately, their faces went pale. I didn't see this part, but apparently something about the pool water caused my hand to start STREAMING blood the instant i took it out of the water. Ultimately, it was fine, but I'll never forget the faces they made in reaction, and now i have two cool scars on my knuckles

I've got a few good scars. A scar on my leg from a spider bite (I was around eleven-twelve years old), one from accidentally stabbing myself with a craft knife on the same leg (I was around eight years old), my right knee has three separate scars from falling off my bike on a gravel driveway (I was about nine there), a small one above my left ear from dumb shenanigans involving a tree branch and attempted karate (fourteen-ish years old), one on my right thumb from trying to grab a craft knife and someone else taking it at the same time so he accidentally sliced me (Around sixteen years old), another on my right hand from accidentally breaking a window (Also around fourteen), a couple of scars on my right arm courtesy of my mum's cat from like six months ago. I like scars, as odd as it may sound. They tell a story of a life lived, of moments that are etched into our skin, good and bad.

This literally happened to me, I think... 3 months ago. But I was making cookies for the first time and planned to give them to my family. Everything went smoothly, and after baking in the oven, they were ready! Now the only oven gloves I had were these chunky rubber ones and the oven rack was quiet low cause I forgot to change it, so... You see where this is going. I grabbed my large tray of a dozen cookies, and tried to carefully lifted them up without trying to hit the oven door. But I ended up loosing my balance and my grip on the tray. In that split moment, the first thought I had was: "MY COOKIES!" So immediately I rested the tray onto my forearm, stumbled to recover my balance, and clutched those cookies like my life depended on it. Immediately, my skin was burning in pain but I did not pay attention to it until I put the tray safely onto the counter. So... now I have this weird triangle burn scar on my forearm where the corner of the tray was resting for like a solid minute. It freaking looks like an arrow tattooed on my skin now, lmao. 😂

I have two scars each about the size of my thumb on my right wrist. Last year I bought a wii for my house in university and at the start of wii sports resort when you're skydiving in, you can turn the wii remote to make your mii spin around. So naturally I let go of the remote and decided to spin it around my wrist on the strap to see how fast I could get the mii to spin, because I thought it was funny. It was, but since I was at it for a bit over a minute, I ended up tearing and friction burning some of the skin on my wrist quite badly. It was funny though, so worth it in my eyes.

Forgot to send scar story last time. When I was 10 me and my friends found a shed with a poorly assembled rhubarb side fencing made by taking 2 big squares of rhubarb construction and nailing it to the side. We had a lot of fun climbing that to get on top of the shed and jump into a hill of sand right next to it. One day we go to do some climbjng and the owner of the shed comes up and says "hey, that thing isn't safe. It's only held up by a few nails, I can't alllow you all to do this" but we begged him for one more time, one more jump, the man reluctantly allowed us to do 1 more jump. I was the last of the 3 to climb the fencing for this final jump and as I reached near the top, it happened, the entirity of it went loose. I fell and the center piece of rhubarb got to my stoumach and cut up a line from around my pelvis to right about the right nipple. Very luckily the cut wasn't deep (or I wouldnt be here today), all I remember after that was being crushed by the fencing, my friends lifting it up and carrying me back home, which was luckily only 2min away and then the horrified face of my mother when she saw the wound. Today as I've grown taller the scar has not grown but it stands there over most of my stoumach and right below my chest about the size of the furthest distance from thumb to pointer finger.

On the way down my leg got caught on the edge of a broken cookie tin my mom kept random stuff in and it cut my thigh all the way down. I got both my scars at secondary school First scar, upper forearm: A "friend" was spinning around in the yard area, I dunno why but he was bumping into people with his bag on his back going "wheee!". I still have no idea why, but he hadn't noticed his compass (maths compass, not a directional one) had pierced through his bag. He bumped into my arm and I felt a scratch. I didn't think all that much of it until in the middle of an assembly like 25 minutes later when my sleeve felt wet. I thought it was probably just sweat, but I rolled up the sleeve and saw it DRENCHED in blood. I just kinda looked at my other friend and went "oh". But it was in the middle of the assembly and I didn't wanna cause a scene so I just sat there, tightened my sleeve above the cut and forgot about it until the end of the day when my form tutor pointed it out and was less-than-pleased with my forgetting about my fairly obvious bloody arm. Second scar, Left eyebrow: I was walking to the canteen to go for lunch and the doors in the corridors open both ways, a year 7 kid for SOME REASON decided to kick open the door from his side. He didn't see me from his side of the door because it was solid wood except for a porthole above his head, so he didn't do it on purpose. This door just slammed open as I went to go through it and the edge of the window frame on it smacked me in the eyebrow. He was super apologetic and was *very* scared when he saw me, but I told him it was fine and not to worry about it and just kept going to lunch. It was only when I was eating my sandwich and I saw the bread get a red splotch drop on it that I'd realised it was actually bleeding, so I finished up my sandwich and went to go clean it up, but in the end it left a scar

I have a very looney toons way of getting a scar. I made brownies once and I forgot to unstick the pan. so I held the pan with one hand and a knife with another, trying to get a corner piece. (See where this is going) The moment I get the brownie out I moved the knife up and out of the pan and into the palm of my hand right as my father walked into this kitchen to see me too this. I have a scar between my eyes a lot of people assume it's from my glasses, but they would never mark my face like this because of the nosepads and I got it almost a decade before I started wearing glasses. What happened is that when I was 8, my family had a husky, he was super agitated all the time so one day he was so hypped he ran around the living room and ended up knocking me down and I hit my face on a glass table corner. I was lucky it hit the exact center between the eyes, one millimeter to either direction could have cost me an eye.

When I was 2, I put my finger in an exercise bike (because 2 = dumb). Then, when the pedal moved (because ya know I moved the pedal), the mechanism inside the bike ripped my finger nearly in half at the tip (definitely cut a solid 3/4ths of the way around the finger) My first hints of a memory is being at the hospital, and getting stitches for my nearly fallen off finger. Now it has a pretty healed scar, it feels weird around the scar area, and I have a terrible fear of needles. Thanks 2 year old me!

i recently (and by recently, i mean a week or two ago) i fell down the stairs and into a metal gate we use to keep our dog from getting upstairs. my left arm received a nasty scratch from the stairs themselves and my right knee drew blood from whacking into the gate. both of these seem as if they may end up as scars, but it's hard to say right now. EDIT: as of the 21 of august, almost a month after the fall, the scratch on my arm is practically invisible, but my knee looks as if it has formed as scar, as i suspected it would.

I was born with two extra fingers, one on each hand. They weren't functional: there was only meat, tissue and skin, nothing else. When I was 2, my parents took me to the hospital to amputate those fingers. There are scars on the sides of my hands, next to the pinkie (imagine an even smaller pinkie and attach it next to your actual pinkie, just a tad lower). The procedure couldn't have been conducted earlier because it posed a risk for the development of my hands. The scars could open with the quick growth, and the surgery itself might have caused issues due to the size of my hands as a toddler. So yeah, I have small nubs on each of my hands.

Was playing ping pong when I was 10. We were both doing anime shit. Dude's paddle slipped out of his hand and hit me directly between my eyes on the bridge of my nose. The bridge of my glasses cover the scar almost perfectly.

I was playing starwars with my brother in our unfinished Basement, i chased him and tripped and fell face first on the corner near the bottom of the stairwell giving me a huge scar on my face, oh, that’s left of it is a small bit of the scar on my upper lip

I was working on woodworking in school. I was working with a sandpaper Machine with no protection. and when i was not paying attention my left hand (specfically my ring and pinky finger) got caught in the Machine. My finger got cut very deep. The floor was coverd in my blood. I was so shocked i barely felt the pain. Everyone around was freaking out my friends, teachers, etc. They had to call my mom to bring me to the hospital. The teachers coverd my hand with a bunch of tissues. When i got to the hospital My hand was coverd in tape. I had my hand taped for a few months. After that i got the tape off you could still see where i cut my hand. And that's how I got my scar.

On my right leg I have a scar at my calf. It was prom day and me and my friends had rented out a beach house. We had just gotten there and were unpacking stuff when I was walking outside to get stuff and didn’t see a small hole in the sidewalk. It had a cover over it so I guess it was something for the water pipes? But my foot stepped through it and I fell but as I fell my leg scraped the side of the hole and cut it. Great first day of prom. I have another scar on my left leg above my knee. I was a toddler not even double digits and me and my sister were chasing eachother around the house. We were running around the table in our living room. The table was an idler model and made out of wood and on of the corners was chipped and sharp. I wasn’t paying attention and ran into the corner and gashed a hole in my leg. Funny enough I don’t think we went to the hospital. My parents put medicine on it and wrapped it up and it healed lol I have another scar on my right arm above the inner crease where your arm bends. Idk what it called. I was at my first job and I worked as a busser so I gave out bread to people as they sat down that also meant every now and then I’d be getting the rolls out of the oven. I was getting a fresh batch out and the was reaching to close the door but my arm for a split second touched the metal part of the door. Literally a second and I jumped back from the burning pain and it immediately started blistering. I don’t work there anymore lol.

I have a very small and stupid scar on my right hand. I was lying on my bed and saw my dog eating something off the floor. I started hitting my bed to make noise to distract him. Me hitting the bed cause a pencil on my bed to bounce up and I slammed my hand down on the tip by accident with enough force for it to pierce the skin deep enough to leave a permanent scar.

Back in middle school I was at a friend’s pool party and while we were having fun fighting in the water someone sliced my right arm with a snorkel. I don’t think snorkels are supposed sharp.

I got my knee scar by falling knee first onto the corner of a square stepping stone. And missed the last day of a favorite teacher working at school cause I had to go get stitches. But the sad part was that I was more afraid of getting the painkiller needle shot than I was of getting the actual stitches.
