Im bipolar and Joy at the end saying she's tired, doesnt want to hurt anymore, and being with her mom makes both suffer. That's me. I could never articulate it but that's me. Except the one person I cared the most about, my mom, died and my dad would never be Evelyn in that moment. But I felt seen regardless... This film is amazing overall but I will probably always return to that scene...wishing I had an Evelyn but mostly because it was the closest to how Ive always felt but could not articulate.

The reason this movie resonates with everyone and is so good is because almost everyone can relate. I mean who hasn't wondered before "what if" they had taken a different path in life. Who doesn't have drama with a loved one, be it mother/daughter, husband/wife, father/daughter, this movie has all three and somehow throughout all the chaos in the movie, everything resolves in the end masterfully.

i try to watch everyones reaction to this film when i can mainly because its one of my favorite films now and because the reactions people have with it are always hilarious and/or heart warming. Your little closing thoughts/review at the end was beautiful. i love listening to different peoples thoughts on this film and what they took away from it. Yes it has parts full of absurdity, and shock, but at its core its about a mother daughter relationship, with a husband and wife and daughter and father extension as well. Its about family basically, generational trauma, depression, acceptance, existentialism & the randomness of our universe. Its an amazing film, in the technical aspect as well as in its masterclass in acting and writing. Glad you enjoyed the film as well and i love everything you had to say at the end.

Yes, I was waiting for a longtime for you to watch this movie. The title of the movie was no joke, it's a rollercoaster of emotions and some of them were indeed all at once (laughing and crying at the 3rd act) haha. This movie was such a surprise when I saw it for the first time and even an hour after the movie, it's still was deeply in my mind. I can't believe in the midst of the chaos, it had so many layered and heartfelt messages. It's easily the movie of the year for me. Great (and super cute) reaction, I'm so happy you enjoyed it!

Hi Duaffy, I love this movie and have watched plenty of (first time) reactions to it on KZbin. I guess everyone has their own understanding and interpretation of it, but for me your reaction was the most insightful. It resonated in me just as the movie did. And maybe that is what I was looking for watching other peoples reactions: just to know and understand why this movie hit ME so hard when I first saw it. I am a Dutch male of 40, and have nothing directly in common with the main characters, but I have suffered depression and nihilistic thoughts, and I guess this is my connection to the movie. Nothing really matters, but we all just have to try to make the best of it. For ourselves and others, everything everywhere all at once! I'm here because it swept awards in Oscar and rightfully deserved. One of the modern masterpiece i've seen in recent years. Besides an interesting theme done well (multiverse), over-the-top hilarious action sequences, great editing and heartwarming drama, it's philosophically thought-provoking too. It tells the opposing approach to existentialism that questions our life's purpose and cripples most of us. Pessimistic nihilism vs. optimistic absurdism. The yinyang of everything bagel (black outside, white inside) vs google eyes (white outside, black inside). Empty void inside vs pure core inside. "Nothing matters so might as well destroy everything" vs "Nothing matters so might as well enjoy life". Waymond taught Evelyn and us the latter.

The new content shall provide enjoyment for all, me included. Any support will help to agilize it by paying an editor for as many videos as possible, but I can not edit content by myself any better. Now she is being under medical observation, and I am sueing their negligence. I hope your 2022 has been beautiful. I hope I managed to make you smileat least once. This is way more Multiverse than Marvel ....ok into the spider verse was also very fine.

The thing people forget though is that 1. That film was in production before 2020 and didn't resume until a year later so A LOT was changed or cut. And 2. That film also had to juggle existing characters and plot points. In short, a lot more leg work. I just don't think it's a fair comparison when you take those 2 factors into account. This film could do anything it wanted because it doesn't apply to any established logic nor was it in development hell.

She apparently said "goodbye" to her Patreon subs but nothing to us, and this is where she has the most fans. At least make a quick post on your community page just to let us know that you're no longer going to be posting, a little consideration goes a long way. There's been a number of channels with a pretty large sub count that just stop uploading and leave without saying a word to their audience and I just find that rude.

I was watching a smaller channel called Matcha & Movies. Really funny reactions, I enjoyed watching it. The girl from the channel stopped uploading for a couple of months, then made a video announcing she has been burnt out on movie reactions and would do random life vlogs. She did a couple of vlogs after that and then one day when I tried to check the channel to see if there were new videos, the channel was just gone. I was bummed because there were still a couple of previous videos I still meant to watch and I never got around to it.

@@miker.9138 oh yeah, I remember her channel, she was pretty funny. I totally forgot about her channel, I hadn't seen anything from her in a while. That sucks.

@@miker.9138 I just remembered another channel that just disappeared out of nowhere, I don't remember their names but they were an Australian couple that did movie reactions also, don't know why they left but they're gone too.

I encourage you to read his latest post on his Patreon page. She says she had a difficult end of 2022 with her sick parents and gives some news about the future of her channel.

Ok just got a reply from a comment I made about her well being said I should reply to it to claim some prize this sounds very fishy as there have been a bunch of these sent to a bunch of peaple. This would explain why Duaffy hasn't done any knew reactions in a while she may have been hacked and is trying to get it worked out. Just a thought I could be wrong.

Her account wasn't hacked, all kinds of channels have been getting scammers like that, and YT (as usual) doesn't do anything. Take a look at her Patreon public posts to know what has been going on with her.
