heya! thank you so much for your compliment ^^ in general, the idea for the multicoloured half of the video is referring to the finale of s2 (so I hope it wouldn't be a spoiler) every new color pallet is Lu Guang's new perspective/new dives into the same memories throughout different photos to try save Cheng Xiaoshi/relive memories that LG cherishes with him the way photos were 'expanding' into scenes and the end part with empty photo frames was just a small hint on it ig but the first photo in the sequence turning grey is an indicator that because LG can only travel to every photo once he's running out of them he can't use it again so all the colours are drained and taken 🤔 i do love how this animatic can be enjoyed both as a heartfelt and cute representation of their dynamic, BUT YES. there's a ton of angst underlined angst here too lol.
