Ren being a Disney princess for 3 minutes; he's ordering execution and prancing about a decapitated head but acts like he's in a Disney number about unrequited love 😍🥰
I spent WAY TOO LONG ON THIS. I started this a little over a year ago, and barely finished the final chunk of the work (character coloring and editing) in the past month and a half, because woah! Who knew that small, daily consistency and discipline actually works 😅🥲
I spent so long on this - as it's obvious - season 9 literally ended and I've had Hermitcraft burnout since honestly 💀 but I wanna get back to enjoying the series yk? So I'm still gonna do some Life Series animatics I got planned (as well as some other fandoms/oc videos), and hopefully I can balance out my workload and not feel overwhelmed.
And on the topic of future animatics ‼️ They're probably gonna be sketchier and done on my phone, and THAT way, I won't fall into my perfectionist habit to render and make lineart on everything and I WON'T GO CRAZY. And I've found myself to be looser and quicker on that phone app w my phone pen, so here's to hoping that my future projects won't be once every blue moon 🙏

Love how Ren's dancing through his castle while Bdubs is running after him and somehow barely able to catch up. And when Bdubs does catch up to him, Ren just kinda ignores him (man's having his musical number, he can't care about signing papers atm) and happily takes someone's head and puts it on his throne (horrible idea btw like where are you gonna sit now?? ya throne's all bloodied up!) The sillies ☺️☺️☺️ And poor Joe getting the door slammed into him. Also love the little notes through the vid, like Bdubs' "you mf" after Ren's "If you leave me I'll kill everyone you love because I love you" part and Cleo's "tf is wrong w him??" after she and Cub were dragged around by Ren.

This is GODTIER oh my goodness. I really appreciate how much time is spent on bdubs just chasing down ren. It seems like no one is ever on pace or at fully understanding of whatever ren is doing. And i adore that. You managed to get the weird dynamic of ren ignoring bdubs (who put him in power) and praising scar (who doesn't really want to be there). It's really cool to see how you characterized everyone through this song that's being presented via ren's perspective. I adore this whole thing so much

I've not seen hamilton at all, but I've heard this song and it definitely fits Ren during his King Arc. I love how the end hints at the end of King Ren's reign with the rebellion at the end, though I cannot for the life of me piece together whose inbetween Pearl and Gem there. (I love Gem and Pearls designs here btw, but all the designs look so good)

Oh my lord (king) that is PERFECT! Just so on-point, I can't get over why only now I realize how 100% this song fits King Ren arc - even more so with how Ren-the-creator loves drama! And the designs!
