Every breath is hope, hope that you come to know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. God really loves you. Here is how I know He sent his son to die for you so that you can be forgiven and spend eternity with Him. That is how much God loves you. So my question is f you died today will you go to Heaven ? Here is how you will know. There will be a time that we will all face Gods judgement. God is righteous and Holy and we are all sinners. In a court of Law if you commit a crime and you was found guilty you will be punished and be sent to jail. Gods prison is Hell and because we are all sinners we will be found guilty. The 10 commandments is where we see if you have committed any sin’s or not. Have you ever lied? Have you lust over someone? Have you ever taken something that was not yours? Have you ever said omg or used Jesus Christ name as a curse word ? These are only 4 of Gods commandments and if you have said yes to any of these questions I’m not judging you but on judgement day God will judge you and will find you guilty for these sins and will be sent to eternal punishment. The good news is Jesus Christ came and paid the price for your sins He took the punishment we deserve . He died on the cross and If you believe in your heart that Jesus died and was raised on the third day and repent and ask in prayer for forgiveness of your sins you will be saved. Which means on judgement day because you have believed and trusted in Jesus and have faith in Him and have been forgiven,on judgement day God will let you go and you will be saved from going to eternal punishment. Jesus was sacrificed to save you and everybody else because of the love He has for us John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. The gospel is not God hatefully saying turn to me or I'll send you to Hell the gospel is God's mercy and Grace saying you're already on your way to Hell turn to me and I’ll save you. Romans 10: 9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Thank you so much for sharing your story and your journey. I understand. I am praying for you. My husband had end stage cancer (Lymphoma) and he went through a truck load of horrible chemo that when it was all done did little. So I asked the drs if I could give him the alkaline diet and Graviola and they said "Why not, nothing to lose." and so I Did. 6 months later he became 100% cancer free. That was 2 and half years ago. He is out playing golf everyday and the only issue he has is neuropathy from the chemo he took. We figured we would try the last resort stuff and we did. I have no idea what really played the role in his 100% cancer free diagnosis other than a Miracle. I believe Miracles can happen in many ways. I am praying for a Miracle for you in whatever way it comes.

As someone who watched the father of my children get smoke 💨 blown up his ass by his oncologists, I wish they had been more honest. He was diagnosed with neuroendocrine pancreatic cancer in August 2016, liver was fully involved with innumerable lesions on both lobes, inoperable, essentially stage 4. The ONLY honest doctor was the one who did the initial endoscopy. After he entered the oncology world, he was told over and over “you’re young, your labs look good” - he truly believed they would save him and he was going to live many years. I knew the likely outcome and sat and watched him become a cash cow for his oncology team. He worked up until 3 months before he passed, never did any of his bucket list items, was robbed of making memories with our children. He passed 6/20/2022. They treated him with SIX lines of therapy and kept him alive long enough where it spread to his bones and finally innumerable with several hemorrhaging lesions in his brain (MRI scan on 4/24/20)
@lindc10703 ай бұрын
From what I have seen, being " young" has not been a factor that helped. In fact many " young" patients get diagnosed too late. As for honesty, my dad who was a medical professional himself, always insisted on that and he himself accurately predicted the course his disease would take. It just progressed sooner than anyone expected . He too worked up to 3 mths before he passed and he didnt lose much weight, looked healthy. Was fit and mobile up to the last month. But what Gui needs to address is the weight issue. I think their honesty with regards to that gives him the opportunity address it and at the very least get him more time to get into a trial or try other treatments.

@@crittermetimbers I agree , I am an oncology RN , the docs I work with all have different personalities one will say , ‘you will beat this’, another will say ‘you should get your affairs in order’ and the rest will say things in between these two . I like best the docs that are brutally honest .. then if there is absolutely something on your bucket list or something you need to tell someone you can , but that’s just me .
@ny_njtrailrunnert9262 ай бұрын
Oncology RN here, as I read this, I thought you were going to say he lived for 6 months, which would explain why you felt negatively about the entire experience, but He lived for 6 years and that is an outstanding length of time to live with a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. Did they ever say "we will completely cure you"? Or did they give him hope which he interpreted as a cure? You may never know the answer. so many patients choose to have hope and believe they will be cured. Patients who are not given hope by their oncology team typically do not live for six years with this diagnosis. Some people keep working because it brings a sense of purpose and normalcy. As a man, maybe it was important that he provide for his family and pay medical bills, etc. during those 6 years he was alive and with the children. While perhaps bucket list items weren't completed, their dad was alive for many more years than likely 99% of pancreatic ca patients. I see them pass away within weeks or months if found late stage. When diagnosed with a cancer that will eventually take your life, like Glioblastoma or most pancreatic ca, the hardest part is that the longer you live the sicker you're going to get and more suffering you and your family will have to go through. Some states have medical aid in dying for the terminally ill so patients can have choices and prevent this type of ending. With that said, I have lived in the oncology business for more than 15 years, our entire medical system is purely for profit and that drives everything. It is a broken system, but most cancer patients don't have a different option than to participate in it
@crittermetimbers2 ай бұрын
@@ny_njtrailrunnert926 he had neuroendocrine pancreatic cancer, not the “normal pancreatic cancer” they called it the zebra 🦓 of the cancer world and he actually survived maybe 3-4 months longer but not a quality to it…He was sent to Dana Farber and even there they didn’t say truthfully a likely prognosis, Roswell in Buffalo was the same way, neither one even staged him. Yes, he was under the impression they would give him possibly a “cure” and at the very least many many more years, he thought he would live to retire. Even AFTER his cancer spread to his brain, innumerable lesions and many hemorrhaging, his oncologist STILL wanted to try a NEW chemo Irinotecan…I tried to protest at that time and he was so sick he at that point he insisted.
@crittermetimbers2 ай бұрын
@@ny_njtrailrunnert926 I apologize but as I had previously stated, he had neuroendocrine pancreatic cancer not the more common fast killing type. The prognosis for stage 4 NETs is less favorable than earlier stages, with a 5-year survival rate of around 68%. He lived for LESS than 4 years after diagnosis and I did put dates so I’m not sure where you got 6 years and where you got he lived way longer, especially as an oncology RN? Six lines of therapy is beyond what would be feasible and the palliative care team (when they were FINALLY brought in by his oncologist) said that - his oncologist even was trying IRINOTECAN when his brain was FULL of lesions (many bleeding) so THAT is why I’m pissed- he was a guinea pig for them and he pissed away his time because they were gonna “save” him.

My son's oncologist had the same conversation with us when his weight dropped to 115. He told us around 100 pounds, a man's kidneys will begin to shut down and death will be close behind. He died at 97 pounds. He just couldn't keep any food down. Everyone will say eat eat eat, but it isn't that easy if it doesn't stay down. Will your doctor refer you to an ocology dietician? They may be able to help with the nausea and provide with you with very rich, high caloric supplements that are easy on your stomach. So many protein drinks on the market are just junk and harf to digest. They can give you a prescription for pre-digested high caloric formulas to help you gain weight. Praying for you.

If you can solve your weight loss problem , even if the cancer has progressed it will buy you more time till something else comes along. Doctors can't tell people that. What they need to tell people is "A person in your situation normally lives from 6 months to a year, or from 2-3 years" not give you an exact due date because that won't be accurate. They can only tell you the statistics of all the rest of the patients who they have gone through.

Being in the ocean will earth you and that is great for your health. It’s not just mental, it is a physical process where connecting with the earth (through water) neutralizes unhealthy electrical charges that have been built up in the body.

You are amazing with your positive brave attitude etc. Doctors are not always God Like you said many people have beaten the odds against what their doctor predicted It would be very important that you visit your wife regardless As she will be the cure for you Yes it indeed has to be a very traumatic time for her and you too You are handling your situation admirably bravely considering everything you have been through Keep strong confident resilient God Bless ❤ Many Prayers and Blessings To You!

Your positive attitude will help combat the cancer. The oncologist is an expert but cannot possibly say when you are going to die. The advice about going to visit your wife is good because there will be two positive people wIth the fighting spirit against the cancer.

My 87 year Dad has terminal Prostate cancer that's now in his bones and lungs and he didn't want biopsies or any testing and has refused any kind of treatment even though to look at him you'd never know he was sick. He is only on 1 medication for nerve pain and other than that he says he feels 100% and has not lost any weight at all. He is symptomatic however with a cough that won't go away and a raspy voice however the pain is very well managed by the nerve medication he takes 3 times a day. One day last week he decided to stop the nerve med cold turkey because he felt so good and 2 days later he was in utter agony and we had to call an ambulance to get him some pain relief (morphine). I guess what I'm saying is my Dad is back on the nerve med and feels good again but one day he'll wake up and that will no longer suffice. He'll be fine until one day he's not. Take the time now to see your wife because one day you may wake up and you won't be fine. By all means have hope but like your alarm clock you don't want to be late for what could be some of the best days of your life.

Guillaume, why will it take " weeks " to get your CT scan results? I spoke with a colleague of mine over in Toronto, and she said it only takes 5 - 7 days maximum, to get the results, including the comparing of past results with current results....You really do not look well at all, the weight loss is becoming so critical, so you'd think there would be a rush on the CT results?? And, oncologists' predictions about how long a person will live with cancer, often referred to as "prognostic estimates," can be challenging and are of course, not always accurate. Shockingly, research indicates that oncologists often OVERestimate survival times. My brother was given 6-12 months to live, and sadly just passed away last month, at the 5-month point on the timeline...😖Go to Nicaragua! Enjoy every second you have left!! 🙏🙏🙏 But please make sure you have all your affairs in order....😞😞😞

Heavenly Father, You are the Creator of all things. I come to humbly ask that You would heal Guillaume. I ask that You would restore every diseased cell in his body back to the way You created them. I know that all things are possible in You Lord and You teach us to ask for anything in Jesus’’ name so I am asking this. If it is Your will Lord, it will be done. I also ask that You fill Guillaume with the Spirit of peace. That he suffers no anxiety or fear or pain. I ask that You comfort him if he should feel any sadness at all either from this horrible disease that is afflicting him or from any hurtful feelings from his past. Open His heart Lord that he would find You now. That He would cling to You now. That he would spill his thoughts and feelings out to YOU Lord. I love You Lord. I ask these things in Your Son Jesus’ name. Amen

I see this as conditional bad news. If you can resolve your weight situation things can change. Have you been assigned a Nutritionist? If not why not?You need around 2500 calories, pls try to get at least 2000. Load up on high fat foods like yogurt( full fat), cheese, avocado. Nevermind the sugar, eat dried fruit like dates, raisins. If you eat 10 dates spread throighout the day that is 200 calories. Nuts and seeds should help too.

Will you have adequate medical support if you go to Nicaragua? Also have you considered alternative treatment for your weight loss? Pls look into seeing a Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner. Or a Mexican clinic.

Two weeks for a CT Report is ridiculous, it should take no less than 3 Days to get the results in your Doctor's Hands! I would make some phone calls on that, they can do their Job or turn over the Results to those who can!

Has the oncologist given you any medication to help with appetite? There are appetite stimulant medications that are used for cancer and elderly patients Also, you can still get IV nutrition if needed. Unfortunately you will have to be admitted to a hospital for them to put a 2nd line in your body to not interfere with your other medications

Did the oncologist mention the word Cachexia? It has to do with weight & muscle loss when you have cancer. I had a friend with cancer who had this. Yes eating small frequent meals & if you could do light exercises like lifting cans of soup with your arms/hands & leg lifts to help keep your muscle strength. Just some information from a person who cares. ❤

Does not make any difference on how well/good you look… It’s what’s going on within your body. Doctors are not wrong about how much time you have!

If you do go to spend time with your wife in another country will you be able to get comfort care while you are there ? Hope you have a beautiful time on the beach and all of that but in the end you might need a little bit more care than your wife can give you. The kind of care that you would receive from hospice. Just something to think about.❤
