Ive played golf for many years. Had a bad accident and almost a 15 year period i didn't play. It was beyond frustrating going to the golf course and shooting over 100.... when i used to shoot high 60s low 70s and on a bad day high 70s. it was extremely frustrating because i knew how fun golf is when you can start to have confidence on the course.... Well long story short i was absolutely lost and found danny and his videos im back shooting in the 80s and enjoying myself again. Be careful on KZbin alot of people will tell you do this or do that but i can honestly say danny is one of the VERY few KZbin golf instructors i can say is teaching you correct golf video after video. This man is a absolute gift to the game of golf. Wishing all my fellow golfers low scores and those "oh-oh " shots you make or almost make and i wish you nothing but "wait is that my ball"? On the green?😂😂😂

Danny, can I get you to cover long-range bunker shots, please. Something like +150m shots. Where do you stand and the ball position to hit lofted shots and long shots to run onto the green? As always, sincere thanks from Brisbane, Australia.
@DanielMaude Жыл бұрын
Hi Antony, play long bunker shots from 150m exactly like you would off the fairway. What makes them difficult is there is: 1. A poorly struck shot will immediately get punished out of sand unlike off the fairway where you might get away with it 2. There is often a lip on the bunker and depending how close you are to the lip will determine how far you can advance the ball.
@antonyeaton7992 Жыл бұрын
@@DanielMaude many thanks as always.
@Prophecy23JC Жыл бұрын
Oh, also, I noticed that you play the ball further back than I always see it recommended. Even when you are showing the normal/fluffier sand shot. Typically you hear to play it off the lead heel. You have it not much forward of center. Where you would play a full swing shot. Part of it might be the camera angle, but it definitely seems further back than typical. 2:23 for a reference

Great tips Danny for bunker shots. I noticed that your handle position is more up and down, than hands forward, with a shaft lean. I think that is the key to better bunker shots. Thanks Danny

I wasn't aware of digging deeper into hard sand to push the ball out. Great tips as usual thanks Danny. Can’t wait to try them out as my bunker play is erratic and these should bring more consistency. Our course often has hard sand base in bunkers especially in winter. I got a serious case of the yips after watching Phil's video. So bad I gave up the game for a few years. Full swings were fine but the short ones I felt like I got tasered on my downswing. After getting back into the game I put in the work to get over it, but still had debilitating anxiety over the ball on pitches. Eventually diagnosed some mistakes (dragging hands through, and a little to around the body - butt of club pointing way outside body) and these videos reinforced and added to my concept of a proper swing and helped paint a fuller picture. Still miss sometimes, but make a lot more good ones and now have a bit of confidence over the ball. Much appreciated Danny.
