I grew up in Oceanside back in the 70's and early 80's. I can't believe how expensive it is to live there. The house I grew up in on Loretta Street is now worth 700,000. The mortgage back in the 70's was 145.00 a month. The house was/is a 3bd 1 bath

Neighborhoods actually look pretty nice. Do you feel like Ocean Side is slowly gentrifying? I assume it's public schools are still a bit behind some where like Carlsbad.

Some very nice hoods in Oceanside. Definitely gentrifying...O'side has come a long way that last few years and getting better day by day. Oceanside schools have lower ratings than Carlsbad schools, but also nearly double for the median home value.
