From what I've learned so far, the only one with any formal training is the drummer, who oddly enough started off learning piano and guitar. @henkverzeijl15255 жыл бұрын
@@je2848 Laws don't dictate what's right or wrong, only what is and isn't allowed. There's nothing wrong with my moral compass, never been in prison, and not planning on it either. If tomorrow they pass a law that outlaws watching porn for example, plenty of people would be breaking the law, but is that moral? Or just? Using violence against non-violent people is never moral in my opinion, and authority is by definition based on the threat of violence.
@je28485 жыл бұрын
@@henkverzeijl1525 Nonviolent people like those who engage in fraud, treason, espionage, embezzlement, identity theft, cyber crime, con jobs, watching child porn, selling dangerous drugs, burglary, grand theft auto, counterfeiting, forgery, and smuggling weapons, drugs, or people? All of those have the potential to be nonviolent crimes, yet by your reasoning it's immoral to use force to stop them. I think you should probably reexamine your criteria for the use of violence by authorities.
@henkverzeijl15255 жыл бұрын
@@je2848 Almost everything you mention can be defined as forms of violence, since in every case there is a victim, although not physically, and i have no problem at all with corrective measures against these kinds of criminals. Also, a lot of the definitions you mention are set by the authorities, but they themselves are the biggest breakers of their own rules. Almost all those things you mention are not deemed illegal when agents of authority do it. If i beat up someone to within an inch of his life for no reason i'm considered a criminal. When a police officer does it, it's considered justice. The only difference is that they're dressed up in a silly suit with a shiny badge, which makes them feel like morality doesn't apply to them. Authority brings out the worst in people. Millions of deaths have been caused in name of authority, and by 'just following orders'. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hGfYh4loecikqpI
