This is a logical thing to do from Oda's perspective, but only in the short term. Personally, I really hope Garp does not die fighting BB pirates. Monkey family being reunited in the great battle is a sight to see. If Garp is to die, I want him to die side-by-side with Sengoku fighting against the WG with the discovery of its evil and treachery. That would be more powerful storytelling in the long term, especially considering the long history of Garp and Sengoku in OP.

i've been seeing the parallels to marineford as well. the only thing that ends differently is coby will get away whereas ace died. maybe garp lives but i'm doubtful. although i was also doubtful that law would live. one piece has been amazing since the final saga started. can't wait to see what goes down.

Good video. When it comes to Garp's potential death, I would want Luffy to not only be devastated by this news as he was when Ace died, but also come to realize if his grandfather was right, and that becoming a free pirate did had a downside. As for the Marines who were close to Garp, I would like a lot of them to feel sorry for Luffy & Dragon, and offer them the privilege to give Garp the burial he deserves. Which could lead to an unexpected trip back to Dawn Island. Well I don't know about you, but what do you think?

I thought about something strange yesterday. I watched a old video of joyboy theories and in this video we kearn that ida loves Harey Potter. So , those who know harry potter know that severus snape ,who everyone thought was evil, was actually good and protected harry. What i wanna say is that we know that akainu is a sword member , we learned that in a cover page. What if akainu and kuzan plotted. If Garp is a parallel to wb. Wouldn’t you state (knowing Koby won’t die) that Garp wouod also have some inversion. Be it who kills him, in what he says. As he isn’t of the same belief as wb and roger he wouldn’t want someone to find the one piece. It may be Garp says something to shanks relating to how he viewed and how he affected luffy. As he strongly disliked him, we might see a moment where Garp supports shanks or helps him begrudgingly or something similar to that even if it’s just a comment. And shanks likely does the memorial for him also, but as a shadow figure as marines will be there and he will die in an event not long after this

first of all, kuzan isn't going all out on Garp whatsoever. He is going to let Garp win and the rest of BB crew is no match for a mostly fully powered Garp. Kuzan would never join the BB crew and betray Garp, simply because he's always been portrayed as a good person.
