I haven't seen all of season two, but honestly I don't want a season three if Neil isn't okay with it. He made the second out of love for his departed friend and the notes left from their collaboration. If the well is dry, then there should be no more and we should be happy we got what we did.

Satan is not a single being, it means adversary, and in the bible it is used to describe many different beings, including God. Note that I said it means adversary not evil. So when God rose up against David, David refers to God as Satan.. his adversary.

Yes! Thank you! Nobody remembers Satan is the original demon. Lucifer is the fallen angel. Samael In early text is a loyal but grim servant of god before being conflated as a form of Satan and lucifer. Three different beings entirely!

It, like anything else that gets adapted, depends on the lore. In the Good Omens continuity, Lucifer adopted the moniker of ‘Satan’ and changed his image to fit the perception of those that presumed things about him (making him ‘fit’ the image of a demon rather than an angel). At least, that’s the interpretation I’m going with, minding that Crawley and Aziraphel were both _also_ angels and haven’t much changed their images nor names (nor had reason to change) in the centuries they’ve been on Earth. To that end, Satan not looking like what Lucifer ‘should’ look like, tracks.
