Aziraphale is having a much easier time pretending to be Crowley than the other way around. Because Crowley never really hid his contempt for his fellow demons so Aziraphale can let go and be a little snarky, it doesn't hurt. On the other hand, really hard for Crowley to not rage at heaven because of how they're treating his friend.

This scene wasn’t in the book and with the series being refreshingly close to the book all the way through and was satisfying that they added their own scene that flowed so neatly with the whole narrative. It shows how well they understand the source material and how much care they took when adapting it into a series. They did a phenomenal job, bravo.

I think it's quite a nice detail that when they're speaking with each other on the bench but haven't switched back yet, Aziraphale in Crowley's body speaks with a slightly higher pitch than what Crowley would usually speak in and the other way around for Crowley in Aziraphale's body. What I love the most and only just noticed, is how Aziraphale pretending to be Crowley says "this is a new jacket and I don't wanna ruin it, do you mind if I take it off?" If you think about it, that is a new jacket for Aziraphale and of course he wouldn't want to ruin it bcos he's all about fashion so that's actually a very Aziraphale line, but said with Crowley's attitude it just sounds like his normal mocking arrogance. I love the little details that give away the game that I only catch on a rewatch. Obviously right before they switch back we see their posture and body language, Aziraphale upright and Crowley splayed out, but look at the moments of their sentencing: When the demons sentence "Crowley" he defaults to protecting his clothes, whereas "Aziraphale" makes a half-attempt to weasel (sorry, "persuade") his way out of the situation. Both are stunning little callbacks through the series, hinting at the truth before they pull the rug out that you only catch if you know what you're looking for.

Also, when they are talking in the park, David Tennant puts those little pauses between his words because that's how Aziraphale talks - with a slight hesitation. And those micro-expressions on Michael Sheen's face are pure Crowley. Incredibly talented actors, the both of them.

If you watch really, really closely, they give it away a little bit earlier - when they're in the park buying ice cream just before being kidnapped, "Aziraphale" buys the red lolly and "Crowley" buys the plain white one, the exact opposite of what they did in the earlier episode when it flashed-back to them in meeting in the past. =)

I think the point is that either side doesnt know them well enough, that is why their sudden change in behavior isnt noticed. They never really knew our beloved ineffable husbands and that in the end, it was their downfall. I mean they said it themselves "What is he?" "What else can he do?" But more so, none of them asked the possibility, "could this be gods will?"

Of you pay attention you could see they switched the second they switched. -Crowley as Azi didn't stutter, but Azi always stutters infront of other angles. -Azi as Crowley ordered strawberry lollypop ice-cream with flakes on top. There's a few hints before they even get kidnapped too. Aziraphale (Crowley) barely reacts to his bookshop being restored, his walk through the shop has a bit of a Crowley-ish swagger to it, and when he notices the new books his deep-voiced "those are new" comment sounds very Crowley-ish. Same goes for Crowley (Aziraphale) in the next scene - his walk has less of a swagger to it than usual, his cherubic-smile upon seeing the restored Bentley is VERY Aziraphale-ish, and he takes a taxi instead of driving the Bentley (because Aziraphale can't drive).

I love how at 6:45 you can tell that they switched because of the cadence of their voices and the how they’re speaking because that’s how they would normally speak. It’s also cute that Aziraphale ask for a rubber duck as Crowley since one of Crowley’s favourite animals are ducks. Also Crowley’s laugh at the end kind of does sound like a duck 😅😊
