If you cannot fall asleep within 20 minutes, go to another room and do relaxing activities such as reading, but avoid screen time and avoid rewarding activities such as housework. Limit naps during the day. Set a regular sleep schedule. Avoid late night snacks.

had this issue for so many years, it was getting pretty severe and its especially agony with adhd. would highly recommend trying melatonin gummies if u havent. just a small dose, like 1-3 mg. doesnt work for everyone but for me it was huge
