Picasso also went through an ‘African period’ (like his blue period but inspired by African masks and sculpture) which really influenced his ventures into cubism during his Porto-cubist period- which just further connects the two

Thank you Stacy for being vulnerable and sharing the passing of Polly with us. All of us loved her and are mourning with you, I immediately started crying when you did. My dog is turning 14 this year and he is my best friend. It is so difficult to come to terms with an aging animal but I know that my love for him and your love for Polly won’t ever disappear and their memory will follow us for the rest of our lives. All dogs go to heaven and she is waiting for you on the other side of the rainbow bridge ❤❤❤

This video popped up just after I returned from the vet with my dog. She's 15 and developing arthritis in her spine. We got the "talk" from our vet about her age and just trying to manage her pain until we can't anymore. This is my childhood dog/first senior dog so I'm not used to how quickly they decline. It's truly a wild experience but making however long she has left as peaceful as possible is so rewarding. They way you adore your dogs is truly magical. You're a good human Stace. ❤

I also wanted to add that i 100% agree with your thoughts on adoption. I have 3 dogs and they all were rescued from terrible conditions and now live a life of luxury with me and nothing warms my heart more than knowing I saved their lives and made them better by rescuing them. I am so sorry for your loss of Polly. She was such a lucky dog to have been saved by you and your dad. Thank you for inspiring me through my whole childhood and now into my adulthood. A couple observations as I think of things to comment on in the episode: -I love how I could tell, even if I didn't know, that Stacy's been playing Minecraft for a long time based on how she handles boats when she isn't thinking about it. She's careful to avoid all obstacles, stops well before the nearest land, and leaves them in the water while exploring. Takes me back to when I was just starting to play, when boats would break into planks and sticks if they hit anything harder than the faintest nudge. I'm so glad that was changed! -The one and only time in which I am okay with "purebred" dogs is when it comes to people who need hypoallergenic dogs. (Because, for example, their family is allergic, even if they aren't.) That is the single exception I'll make, otherwise I am completely on board with adoption over getting fancy breeds. (I don't have dogs myself, but I've had cats all my life, and all of them came either from homes that couldn't keep them or a shelter.) -Your family did amazing by Polly and gave her 14 years of joy she otherwise wouldn't have had. I'm sorry for your loss, and I just know Polly's having the best time on the other side while waiting for her family. (Also, will Dogcraft Polly join Page across the rainbow bridge?)

I agree! adopting and buying a dog from a ethical breeder who wants to make the dog breed better and healther is okay too sometimes people automatically assume that breeding dogs is greedy and just for money because of backyard breeders but that isnt the truth and there are genuine and real breeders out there who dont do it for the money but because they love the breed and want to make it better and adopting is amazing too !

I love using snail slime for my skin and I have been for a longggg time now. I did some research and I found out that the snails live nice long lives doing snail things and then they’re put in this machine that is like a spa for snails, its supposed to pleasure them, which is why they secrete so much slime! And then after a little session of that, they’re back to their happy snail lives.

So sorry for your loss Stacy. Polly seemed like an incredible doggie who lived a beautiful life because your family rescued her. 🥰 I have 2 rescues of my own. A pit bull and a mastiff. They are a lot of work but sooo worth it. I totally agree with you. Maybe in an ideal world where we have got strays and backyard breeders under control and rescues are not over flowing. Then buying from an ethical breeder makes sense. We dont live in an ideal world unfortunately.

My best friend got all of their cats from a shelter, it was a non kill shelter, but a shelter nonetheless. When their family suddenly had to move they weren’t left with a lot of options and had to move into an apartment where pets weren’t allowed. So they asked me if I could take one of her cats. I was skeptical at first because I’ve never had a cat but I’ve always wanted one, but if we didn’t take her in she would’ve gone back to the shelters. Nico is genuinely the sweetest cat I’ve ever met. She’s very affectionate and loves food, and I honestly can’t imagine what my life would be like without her. Im so sorry to hear about Polly ❤ she was a great dog and I’m glad she got to live such a long happy life.

I’m so sorry for your families loss, Polly was also apart of my childhood. My childhood dog died last year, he lived to be 23 years old in human years. He lived to see me and my three siblings grow up, and my eldest sibling is 30. He saw four generations since my brother had a kid before he passed. His name was Mr. Noodles and we found him at a park years ago. He was so matted up, we didn’t know if it was a dog. It took my dad two days to shave off all of his hair and give him a bath. We think he was a miniature poodle from China because we learned that dog is very popular there. He was definitely a purebred. He was a great dad to his kids and he outlived his children too. We have his ashes and his paw print in out home and he was always a good dog. He went somewhere in our backyard to take his last breath and died naturally

Stacy, I’m so sorry for your loss I know she was a great dog! Since the conversation has continued from last episode in the comment section I will say that it is quite unfortunate that you think people that adopt from breeders are “bad citizens of the world”. There are many people who adopted their dogs from breeders that are amazing humans and do great things for society just like there are amazing humans who have adopted their dogs from shelters that do great things too but there are also bad humans who do awful things in the world that have adopted their dog from shelters. So, just how you adopt your dog doesn’t determine if you are a “good citizen’’ you should adopt in a way that fits your beliefs and not worry if that will make someone think your a bad human. Also it is just a fact some dogs have different and more gentle temperaments than others every dog is sweet but some’s traits just fit better for certain people.
@stacyplays
@stacyplays 8 ай бұрын
By citizen I mean someone who thinks of the greater good. If someone is aware that dogs get killed in shelters every day because there aren't enough homes for them but still wants someone to breed puppies and separate them from their litters for them... that's a little dystopian for me.
@Awesomegardner
@Awesomegardner 8 ай бұрын
@@stacyplays I don’t think people who adopt from breeders want them to separate their dog from their litter mates at the end of the day they are dogs and people are not thinking about something like that and in fact I know a lot of people who take their dogs to see their former litter mates and have play dates with them so that is a not a thing people who adopt from breeders are meaning to do at all. A lot of people who adopt from breeders have the best interest of their dog in mind and take great care of them like a lot of people who adopt from shelters so in the greater good there should be a place for both.

@@Awesomegardner When you say "at the end of the day, they are dogs" -- I don't know what that means, honestly.
@Awesomegardner
@Awesomegardner 8 ай бұрын
@@stacyplays it means most people are not thinking of extreme things such as separating them from their litter mates or thinking of dogs or dogs in shelters as part of the “greater good”. People get dogs because they like them and they make them happier and they care about them and they don’t think of such extreme negative things when they think about adopting from a breeder. There are so many problems in the world right now I don’t think dogs at all is on most peoples minds that is what I meant. Nothing about actual dogs if you thought I was demonizing them in any way I’m not at all. I just hope you can see the millions of people who adopt from breeders are good people too.

Loving the series! * A compass without a lodestone will point to world spawn. * You can reset the armor color by using a cauldron full of water. Just right click the armor on the cauldron. * For your water elevator, you can manually make the dripstone piece larger and I personally like open fence gates at the bottom to keep the water in. Another option would to bring the wall forward, but keep the elevators where they are so you don't have dripstone blocks sticking out.

Some people don't want to worry about getting a dog of an unknown background, with a dumpster fire of genetics that are also unknown. Some people would rather support getting a health tested, well socialised, properly raised and developed dog with proven genetics and stability and that is a beautiful thing. If everyone only got their dogs from the good/ ethical breeders and no one ever supported backyard breeders, there would be no dogs in shelters. So most of what you said is from a place of being uneducated and ignorant. Don't put people down for being smart about where they get their dogs from.

On the topic of rescuing dogs… all of my animals are rescues, one of them being a golden doodle- it is possible to not purchase from breeders and get that breed you were looking for! Personally, we have three other “mutts” and they are the most beautiful dogs EVER (my personal favorites but don’t tell the doodle)! But our golden doodle was a rehome situation where the owners had to get rid of him asap as he had lots of behavioral issues. So yes, looking for shelter dogs takes a long time and you might not find that designer breed… but there are amazing and beautiful dogs there, too! Plus, you can rescue dogs from other situations besides just shelters. Some find shelters overwhelming and overstimulating, and they can be a fast turn off for looking for dogs there. I would suggest regularly checking their websites for dogs and going to meet them one on one! Overall, working through rescued animals’ pasts and possible issues is so rewarding when choosing pets responsibly, and I think my dogs know we saved them, creating a deeper relationship ❤

Just a suggestion, Stacy... when you have to crouch for long periods of time, like when building over lava in the Nether, you can go to your key settings and switch Crouch from Hold Shift to Toggle. It saves your pinkie a lot of grief, and it's a lot less stressful constantly worrying about your pinkie slipping off the Crouch key. Hope that helps. :)

hi Stacy im so sorry to hear the passing of polly i hope u and you family are doing well .and how you should never forget about how much good you guys have provided for polly and the wonderful life you guys gave her.ive recently adopted a puppy which she is my first ever dog. before then ive been wanting a dog forever and intill only a few months ago it was eventually the right time. our little furry friends provide us love and without them the world would be a sadder place. and how you have probably encouraged many families to rescue a dog. i wish you and your family love and care as you guys experience this sad passing of polly. and remember that u guys rescued a dog(and i think a good idea for a name would be Morroco or rocco for short) RIP polly

Thanks for reading my comment! I hear my channel name a lot since I post videos to a small audience and get comments from time to time saying it and my friends are in them and call me that but hearing you say it felt I guess surreal (idk if that's the right word) because you were one of the creators that inspired me to start! And as for the bad at drawing thing I feel you as that's also a struggle of mine!! Your channel right now honestly feels like when an older family member who retired comes from the retirement home to go on vacation with you from time to time which I love as someone who didn't grow up with much of a family! Thank you for everything! :D 🩷🖤🩵💜 I also lost my dog last year whom my family adopted in 2015 to cope with a major family death the previous year and I actually have a video online where I showed us adopting her which is impossible to rewatch! We went to the animal shelter looking to adopt a different dog but she got adopted right before we arrived. We then saw an australian Shepard who was around 10 years when we got her and nobody wanted her because of her older age but we fell in love with her. Despite being 10 she acted like a puppy and we ended up adopting her and she was wonderful for all the years we had it! If it wasn't obvious I am a cat person but We could never have them growing up and this dog almost single handedly converted me to a dog person! Kind of a basic idea for a name possibly but I think you should name the new dog Wall-E as in the Pixar movie because this dog gives me Wall-E vibes!

Bird Suet is made with tallow/fats because it helps with keeping their body heat and fat content up in the winter! it’s absolutely safe, in fact it’s probably the safest option for binding, it doesn’t spoil the same way most others would, nor does it melt away when it gets wet/rained on, so it also doesn’t mold!!

Hey Stacy, I am so happy you are making another Minecraft series! I have been watching you since I was little and I LOVED Dogcraft. I know that you already said that you don’t want to use names from a movie for a wolf, but I think that the name Banzai from the Lion King would be a really cute name when you find a striped wolf, since it kinda looks like a hyena. Love you so much Stacy! You are my fav KZbinr ❤❤❤

I think the nostalgia has to do with being so used to the stuff that we have grown up with that we want to experience stuff that is older than us. Vice versa with your grandfather, he wanted to experience the newer things because he has already experienced the cameras you were trying to show him.

Replying to the bucket list: From what i know, crows, ravens, and even magpies will give you gifts (idk about other corvids) I haven't necessarily cracked open a fossil, but i have found lots of fossilised shells, ammonite, and belemnite when walking around on the Jurassic Coast in the uk. We had to search through the mud and rocks, and even though they are small, they are amazing, and i found them.

I adopted a beautiful Labrador retriever 3 years ago from our local shelter, so it is also possible to get your desired breeds from shelters. We're going through some health issues, but I wouldn't trade him for the world. He is also one of the most loving dogs I've even had, most of my previous dogs have been mutts To me, a dog will always be just a dog regardless of the breed/mutt label

Hey, Stacy, as always, your video really made my day and so many others. I listen to these videos while I work to make a slow work day go by fast, you always bring a smile to me and this time a few tears... im sorry for your loss, polly was such a big part of the channel and your life, I can even remember a time when you ended videos with "Page, molly and polly love you. Ho rescue a dog" . Take your time to heal, your dogs have lived long happy lives and have touched the hearts of thousands and probably inspired so many rescue stories like the ones in these comments... And to be on a lighter note... I'm getting back into mc bc of this series, im naming all my wolves after Animal crossing villager, currently looking for the spotted wolf who ill name Kyle after the smug wolf in animal crossing bc he is a pianted wolf too!

I'm not a person to leave comments often but I have 3 things I wanna say I'm so sorry to hear about Polly. Losing an old dog hurts, I know. But she had 14 wonderful years with you and your family. I send my condolences and love to you guys. RIP Polly, gone but not forgotten. - I do agree with your standpoint on dog breeding. We have enough dogs in shelters to be creating more pups that may end up in the same spot someday. Of course, no hate on people who buy from breeders. If you need a specific breed for a specific reason, that's understood. But I'd rather go rescue a dog. - African Wild Dogs are a really interesting species to me. I did a report on them in middle school (forgot a lot of it tbh. But I think I have the poster I made somewhere). But what I do remember is that they do feed the weakest members of the pack first, vote by sneezing, and are perhaps one of the more metal predators in africa (at least in my opinion). They're also called African Painted Dogs. And I love the name Mot/Mottled for the one you have!

I feel for the loss of Polly. I’m a fairly long-time viewer and remember finding it amusing that there was a rhyming Molly and Polly. My boy, Brutus, a boxador, was brought home in 2009 and had been like my own son for 13 years until passing in 2022 as I held him. I wear a necklace I made of his fur encased in resin every day so I can always carry him with me. And I cleaned his favorite toys to be like my own stuffed animals. Years ago, you had us viewers build our dogs in Minecraft and submit a screenshot along with a photo of the dog. Thanks to you, Brutus’ image was immortalized for thousands of people to one day see. I hope there are tokens of Polly’s life that you can cherish and always keep to feel her love. The bonds we have with our companions are unbreakable. I’m crying now with you. 🖤🤍❤️

You are an incredible human being Stacy, what a wonderful life you've lead. I really do enjoy listening to you talk about different things every week. I am sorry for the loss of Polly, I hope you and your family heal in time. As for shelters which end the life of a dog just because - I don't understand why they exist, I really don't. I'm particularly fascinated by your tale of all the different birds and the fact that your flowers are growing - you really are creating a lovely little environment for wildlife. I'd love to do that, but alas that's not a possibility at the moment! Congratulations on the new wolf! Maybe you (I know you don't want to really use people names) could call the wolf Polly? Unless you don't feel comfortable doing so. I 100% would understand. P. S : I'm still convinced you're going to bring Diamond horse back at some point 😂 P.S (again): There was a lot of adverts throughout this video Stacy; was that just KZbin being awkward? Until next time! Take care 😊

I have two rescue dogs and a dog from a breeder. I will continue to purchase dogs from breeders because this breed SUITS me, it isn’t about my dog being “cute” its about the breeds needs correlating with my needs. I love my rescue dogs but they don’t have the best breeding (obviously) and that comes with health problems that cant be magically fixed. Breeders aren’t evil, they’re saving ancient breeds. Im not risking the heartache that comes with a shelter dog and their health issues.

We rescued our cats! Two of them at least, my oldest cat is 15 and I was too small to remember how my parents got her lol but I'm pretty sure she was a rescue cat too. Venus is her name, Bast and Nyx are sisters we got as kittens from a random lady's farm because she had too many and was going to... get rid of them. My mom didn't ask too many questions, just brought the two we could handle home. They're the best cats I've ever known. Our previous dog, RIP Scylla, was a rescue mutt from a shelter (shoutout Oki Mixes) and the smartest dog I've ever known, and our new dog Argus is... a bit of an odd case. His parents' owner came into my mom's work with him and said "hey I've got these puppies and we sold most of them but I'm done caring for so many, do you want one?" So my mom came home and asked us, and now we have him. He's a half German Shepherd half Great Dane, and his dad is a retired search and rescue dog. He's very smart, and absolutely huge, but also slightly stubborn lol. RIP Polly as well, my heart still aches from losing Scylla, and I hope your other animals are there to lift your spirits
