Looking at the map of all the puzzles, each group has its own color and then a square that is not a puzzle but some sort of symbol. I think the symbol represents the greater theme. With this one the big theme was separation and the groups created by the line and the symbol to me looks like an abstract way of showing that.

When you mentioned the witness I realized something. Similar to the witness each area has a theme, and each section has a hint on the world map to its theme. World one has two connected shapes, and each level is about connecting specific shapes. World 2 has three different sets of shapes in increasing numbers and is about counting using different shapes as numbers. World 3 has a line separating shapes, and every solution involves segregating shapes or creating sections with shapes in them.

I'm certain it would fail horribly, it just doesn't have enough data for each level to be able to solve the last one without brute forcing. It can't think abstract like us humans who will realize the rules after a bit but instead think overcomplicated and never get to the answer unless it had more data.
@areadenial23433 жыл бұрын
Yeah, for example that prime number puzzle would be tricky for a neural network to solve. Most humans know about prime numbers if they've learned basic math, and will quickly spot the pattern in that puzzle while for a neural network it might be much harder to figure out from scratch.

vehemently disagree. this game, much like the witness, is a master class in tutorials. at no point in either game does anything ever explain any part of the puzzle solving with words or even with symbols outside of the puzzles themselves, and yet the player learns increasingly advanced concepts that build on each other over and over and over again. if you think this game is confusing to learn the rules then I'm pretty sure you either have not played the game (youtube tyler edits out large parts of the learning process, so understanding the patterns only through watching the video and trying to figure it out before tyler reveals it on video is not realistic) or don't understand the premise of inductive reasoning.

I think 3-1's rule was that you have to get every square that's between a circle and square, even if the gap is larger than one square. So for 3-1-4 it'd be both the squares in the 2-wide gaps, and for 3-1-5 it'd be the ones between them diagonally.
