Just a note… members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints do not go by the term “Mormons”. This is an outdated nickname that is no longer used by the faithful. Just something that might be helpful for someone to know as they consider a move to the State. Very friendly culture. Thanks for the good information. Beautiful state!

Why is the LDS Church’s holy book referred to as the Book of Mormon if the church no longer uses the term ‘Mormon’? Kind of confusing for those not of that faith….

i am lds and totally fine to call me mormon. this was a directive by church leadership it's not doctrine -you don't have to follow it.

Utah is a quiet state, no where near the homeless as the other cities, but there are some, and Utah gets HELLA COLD!! (winter)- Most importantly, Utah's gov IS TRYING TO GO COMMUNIST!!! They have the machines and ARE trying to rig the elections (and have- like they did with the last midterms), but can't fully do that because too many ARE Conservatives here, but they ARE trying. Final- housing USED to be good but NOW EVEN RENT IS UNAFFORDABLE NOW!!! (for those that work REAL jobs but don't have a degree)
